Leah Messer of Teen Mom is giving an update on her tumor growth after revealing she had a breast cancer scare earlier this year on the franchise premiere. The mother of three is looking to help others in their health journey and hopes to educate women around her.

The 29-year-old West Virginia native found fame while airing her life on MTV’s Teen Mom. The mother of three has been married twice and is a recovering addict after she became addicted to prescription medicine. Her recovery was shown in an earlier season, and fans were happy to see she got her act together. She recently released a book that shocked her fans as she wrote about never released information such as an abortion she chose to have. Over the weekend, Messer took to her Instagram Story to share an update with her fans about her lengthy health journey. The reality star revealed she had been to the doctor for a second ultrasound and was told her tumor had grown in size. During the story, the mother of three divulged that the doctors said it was not big enough to be removed since it was benign. But many of her social media followers feel that she should get a second opinion.

As the newest season premiered, Messer shared with fans that she had found a lump while she was driving in the car. Even though the season was difficult to film, she wanted to do it for her daughters and fans. The MTV personality feels that if her story could touch one viewer, she has done her job. She explained to viewers that she didn’t want to film at first because she was afraid that the news would be her entire storyline and the scare was something she wanted to deal with alone first.

Teen Mom fans are hoping that the camera crew was able to film the doctors to hear a full explanation since these screenings could help save lives. The rest of the season looks like it may show Messer getting back out in the dating world. But fans should be ready to watch her help keep her daughter’s lives as much as normal as possible thanks to the worldwide pandemic.
