Kailyn and Javi were married from 2012-2016. Javi later moved on to another Teen Mom star, Briana DeJesus. The 28-year-old then got engaged to Lauren Comeau, with whom he shares son Eli. However, Kailyn alleged Javi propositioned her while he was engaged. Then Lauren called off the engagement in January of this year, claiming Javi cheated on her with his ex-wife, which he denied. The fallout from this break-up has been ugly, to say the least. Meanwhile, Kailyn and Javi seem closer than ever. But does that mean they're reconsidering their own split?
The reconciliation rumors started after a photo Kailyn posted to her Instagram Stories. It was innocent enough, showing Javi's iPhone connected to the bluetooth in her car. But longtime followers starting speculating that this was a clue they'd reunited. A representative for Kailyn spoke exclusively to InTouch in order to set the record straight. The source squashed the rumors, insisting the exes are not back together. So what to make up that photo? The rep explained, "With how involved they both are in their son Lincoln’s football activities, Javi has carpooled with the boys and his phone has been connected for that reason,” they said, concluding that the explanation for this was “Simply innocent coparenting!”
The romance may not be back on, but the two have clearly come a long way in order to successfully co-parent like this. They've even become business partners. Kailyn often will speak highly of him on her podcast, Coffee Convos, and on social media. Some even thought this praise was her way of shading Lauren. That's only added to the reconciliation rumors. For now, they are on good terms while also weathering the fallout from Javi's last two relationships.
Last month, it was announced Kailyn is taking legal action towards fellow Teen Mom star and Javi's ex Briana, suing her for defamation. The two have long been rivals, and their legal battle is sure to get ugly. Another former co-star, Jenelle Evans, has also managed to get involved. Needless to say, all signs point to Kailyn and Javi not being back together, despite what some rumors suggested.
