Star of Teen Mom 2 Kailyn Lowry addressed her feelings on the news of her ex Chris Lopez officially joining the MTV show. Chris, who had been hesitant to film with Kailyn in years past, reportedly signed a contract with Teen Mom 2 to be a part of the upcoming season. Chris demanded that his face was blurred out on the series until he allowed himself to be filmed on the most recent season. Though Kailyn and Chris aren't together, their unsteady relationship as coparents is a main storyline for the mother of four on Teen Mom 2.
Kailyn was reportedly upset about Chris' deal with Teen Mom 2. She apparently texted Teen Mom producers to say it was disrespectful of them to have given her ex a contract with no heads up. Under contract, Chris could earn upwards of $2,000 per episode. Kailyn was reportedly unhappy Chris would be "cashing in" on the opportunity she created as a fixture on the series. However, Kailyn herself recently spoke her true feelings about Chris joining Teen Mom 2.
The Teen Mom star took to Instagram Stories to fire back at reports she was upset and debunked some of those claims. "I’m not upset about anything and I can’t be upset about something and quoted about something that I had no idea about,” she said in a video post. "So number one whoever is quoting me and selling this stuff to the tabloids you guys are insane, I don’t give a s***." Kailyn further discredited claims she was unhappy about the news. "Number two, I can’t be upset about something that I didn’t even know about until it came out that I was upset,” she said. “Like what? I didn’t even comment on anything. So I just want to put that out there.”
Kailyn also revealed how she really felt about Chris signing on with Teen Mom in a separate IG Stories post. "Are you upset Chris signed to be on teen mom or are you unbothered," a follower asked Kailyn in an Instagram Q&A. "I don’t give one single f*** what Chris does," Kailyn wrote back. The famous mom admitted to feeling slighted by the show crew, continuing: "I care about how it was handled/how I found out and the lack of respect people have for me after 12 years of doing this show."
With Chris under contract, MTV will not only be able to use footage of Kailyn's ex, but also audio from his podcast conversation with Teen Mom 2 castmate Briana DeJesus, Kailyn's longtime enemy. Chris and Kailyn are often not on good terms despite sharing two sons, Lux, 4, and Creed, 1. Kailyn's clear frustration with MTV producers over Chris' contract may be a sign she's apprehensive about Chris' involvement on the series and what her ex might say while the cameras are rolling.
