Despite being recently fired from MTV and dropped by an eyebrow kit manufacturer, Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans can't seem to stay out of media headlines. The latest drama surrounding the reality TV star comes after her ex-fiance and child's father Nathan Griffith was arrested for a DUI.

The former Teen Mom had expressed her frustration with MTV back in July when they decided to fire her from the hit series following her legal and custody issues earlier this year. The former Teen Mom fan-favorite got her start on reality TV after appearing on the TLC show 16 and Pregnant, where viewers got to see the then-teenager give birth to her first son, Jace, back in 2010. MTV stuck by Evan's side and continued to follow her after she pulled out a gun last year during a road rage incident. But it was when her husband David Eason reportedly shot and killed their family dog, Nugget, earlier this year that prompted MTV to part ways with the controversial reality star. Despite the dog's death case getting closed, Evans was not asked to return to Teen Mom 2. At the time, Evans expressed her anger with MTV's decision when she called them out for cutting her after she regained custody of her children, but continuing to follow fellow Teen Mom 2 star Amber Portwood despite her domestic battery charge against her boyfriend.

This time, however, it's not Evans or her husband Eason who are back in the headlines. It's her ex-fiance and son's father Nathan Griffith who is now facing new legal trouble. According to police records obtained by Radar Online, 32-year-old Griffith was allegedly "driving while impaired" outside a grocery store in Cary, North Carolina, on Thursday, October 17th. He was arrested and booked by Cary Police and later released on bond, Wake County Sheriff’s Department reported. The South Carolina resident was most recently in headlines back in July when he challenged Evans for primary custody of their 5-year-old son Kaiser. His custody demands came after Evans, 27, and her husband David Eason lost custody of their kids after Eason admitted to killing her dog Nugget.

However, the charges were later dropped and Evans regained custody of her children after the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Social Service later concluded that there was no blood evidence to prove the animal killing happened on the property. Griffith told  TMZ Live at the time that he was working to get primary custody of their son. Griffith said, "Me and my lawyer are going to, of course, approach that accordingly. We’re still going to fight for primary custody."

Its been rough year for both parents as they've been through plenty of courtroom drama. It seems that with Griffith's DUI on record, he might have a harder chance to get primary custody of Kaiser as he hoped he would. It remains to be seen what happens next with this family.
