Jenelle Evans of Teen Mom 2 was recently slammed by followers for drinking on camera. The mother of three admitted she had some health problems and fans felt alcohol would not help her situation.
Evans has been a controversial figure in the Teen Mom franchise for her entire career. She had drug issues and questionable boyfriends in her life. She married David Eason, but married life didn’t help her storyline. She was fired from the show in 2018 after her husband’s homophobic rant on social media went viral. Eason also shot their family dog after it bit their 4-year-old daughter. Evans has had one hard hill to climb, and most recently, she was fired from a podcast after a run-in with 90 Day Fiance’s Deavan Clegg.
Teen Mom viewers have put Evans on blast for a recent Instagram Live post where she was captured drinking a Corona Lite. Followers found it odd that the young mother has gone on the record multiple times to advocate of infrequently she drinks, saying she has only two to three beers a week. But fans feel that amount is not infrequent, and having three drinks a week is a moderate drinking habit. Evans also claimed that she doesn’t drink hard liquor like vodka or whiskey due to her esophageal spasms.
Critics have noticed she had been posting videos of her drinking every day and find her to be hypocritical. Fans of the MTV show also felt like she was trying to be sneaky and “hide” her drink but never accomplished the task. One fan wrote she would walk by Eason while he was live streaming and “try to conceal her beer when he’s recording something at home; she’s trying to keep her beer out of view.” While no viewer can be totally sure, many in the thread claimed that the couple drinks from early afternoon until they go to sleep. Evidently, Evans also posts her drinks when out at restaurants and likes to show off her large margaritas.
Teen Mom 2 viewers are starting to lose sympathy for Evans, who also has claimed she has daily spasms. Evans was recently blasted for bad parenting after she failed to buckled her daughter, Ensley, into her car seat properly. It is safe to say that fans and haters have turned on the 29-year-old officially, and there does not seem to be a road to redemption.
