Jenelle Evans' cosmetics business has folded after numerous customer complaints. The former Teen Mom 2 star has never had an easy road, and to many MTV fans, it feels like Evans can’t catch a break. Two years ago, Jenelle was dropped by eyebrow kit manufacturer, XJ Beauty. The reality star suffered a personal blow with the lack of eyebrow kits sold, thanks to her unsupportive fans.
The reality star has been on the wrong side of fans for the better part of the last two years. Much of it was due to her part in an animal cruelty case in which she lied to the police about her husband killing their dog, Nugget. She has fired from the MTV show shortly after. The entrepreneur was trying her best to make a comeback for herself by branching out to a new venture, but it looks like her plan backfired, and now she is stuck with stock that isn’t moving or being bought.
According to The Sun, the business license for JE Cosmetics has been “dissolved” by the North Carolina Secretary of State. The state’s office confirmed that the makeup venture is no longer active because the mother of three did not file her annual report due April 15, 2021. The 29-year-old spoke to the outlet, telling them she reached the decision to no longer continues her make-up line.
The former Teen Mom star said, “Basically, I stopped it myself. I still have stuff to sell, and I was still actually selling products, but it’s really hard to keep up with without a team.” The North Carolina native claimed she was the one doing everything when it came to packaging and shipping, and it was just too hard to keep up.
Back on September 19, 2019, XJ Beauty sent a termination letter to Evans. The letter confirmed that XJ Beauty would no longer be involved or working with Evans on her JE Cosmetic line. A little over 3,000 eyebrow kits had been manufactured, but only 150 units were actually sold. Many fans complained that the $40 product was made of poor quality and that there were not enough color choices. Who knows what Evans’s next plan of action will be?
