Since being fired from Teen Mom in 2017, original cast member Farrah Abraham has been making the most of her life as a mother in the public eye. Farrah's journey as a reality television personality began in 2009 when she was cast on MTV's controversial series 16 and Pregnant. Although Farrah's career in reality television was cut short when she was booted from Teen Mom, the reality star mother has continued her legacy as the most memorable MTV alum.

When Farrah was only 17, she began sharing her nonconventional life as a teenager raising a child with the world. A target of constant criticism, Farrah became accustomed to making unpopular decisions without regard for how others perceive her. Despite becoming a national pariah for being a teenage mother, Farrah went on to have one of the most successful careers an MTV reality series has ever produced. Aside from starring in Teen Mom for 7 years, Farrah has released an album titled My Teenage Dream Ended and a memoir by the same name which made it onto New York Times bestseller list. Farrah has also worked shot two adult films, which ultimately led to her firing when paired with her alleged behavioral issues on set. Despite her rocky ending with MTV, Farrah has proven she is a star with or without Teen Mom.

When Farrah was kicked off of Teen Mom for working in the adult entertainment industry, the question was raised about the reality star's ability to maintain success without MTV cameras recording. In the years since Farrah's exit from Teen Mom in 2017, the television personality proved she could stand on her own two feet. As relevant as ever, Farrah has accumulated an impressive 2.6 million followers on Instagram and has garnered almost 2 million likes on the TikTok account she shares with her daughter, "farrahandsophia".  Farrah's social media has been a new outlet for the reality star to have a platform as well as a new medium for critics to chastise her, like when Farrah had to defend a sexy video she filmed in front of her daughter. Still, Farrah uses her Instagram to spread awareness of issues important to her like sexual health awareness and getting the COVID-19 vaccine.

Beyond social media influencing, Farrah has worked as an actress in several films since her 2017 exit from Teen Mom. Farrah has appeared in horror films Adam K and Axeman 2: Overkill, and recently landed a role in the 2019 comedy I Got the Hook Up 2. In addition to film, Farrah was recently on the cover of Harper's Bazaar Vietnam a welcomed change in pace since her days in the tabloids. Farrah has also posted her erotic novel Celebrity Sex Tape: In the Making on Amazon. The novel is the first of a trilogy and going for $1,000. As far as Farrah's personal relationships, she still has a tumultuous relationship with her mother Debra. Although Farrah is confident in her mothering skills and even offers advice to fellow parents, she has had trouble connecting with her own mother. Debra remains busy running her OnlyFans account and burgeoning rap career.

Love or hate her, Farrah Abraham knows how to turn trash into treasure. Hailing from a reality show that placed Farrah in the center of lifelong scrutiny, the success the television personality has achieved is impressive, to say the least. From a 17-year-old mother to bestselling author, Farrah Abraham has proven she will be just fine without Teen Mom.
