Former Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans may be trying to work on herself, but her husband David Eason's behavior is making it anything but easy. Jenelle has been no stranger to drama since first appearing on 16 & Pregnant in 2009 and is known, among other things, for her volatile relationships. From being arrested with Keifer Delp to court battles against Nathan Griffith, Teen Mom fans were hopeful that Jenelle's life would turn around once she began dating David in 2015. Unfortunately, things for the couple quickly began to spiral after getting married in 2017. David, who was fired by MTV in 2018 after making homophobic comments online, eventually led his wife down the same path after admitting to killing Jenelle's dog.
Since the two stopped appearing on Teen Mom 2, Jenelle and David have continued to make controversial remarks on social media. Although the stars are no longer associated with MTV, Jenelle has continued feuding with former co-workers like Kailyn Lowry, Farrah Abraham, and Amber Portwood. With large followings online, Jenelle and David have both been accused of racism over the years; David, in particular, has continued to make racist, sexist, and transphobic comments on TikTok and Facebook. Over the past few days alone, David has uploaded a series of vulgar TikTok's that not only misgender and demean a woman named Olivia Aronson but also attack Gabbie Egan, a TikToker who Jenelle was once professionally involved with.
With scores of people accusing Jenelle, who's being tested for ALS, of not taking her husband's comments seriously, Jenelle responded to David's inappropriate comments with nothing more than deflection. Commenting, "Ok.....so what does this have to do with me? I'm not David," on one of her own videos, Reddit users are surprised (but not shocked) that Jenelle is still siding with David despite the consequences of his actions on her life. When a couple gets married, how one person acts directly correlates with the other's life because they are seen as one unit; when a marriage is in the public eye, this is amplified tenfold. David's aggressive demeanor has not only affected Jenelle's relationship with her mother, Barbara Evans, but her own children. Besides having CPS called on the family multiple times, Teen Mom fans may remember one particular scene where Jenelle's oldest child, Jace, tells Barbara that "Mommy and David are pieces of ****."

Besides being eventually fired from MTV after David shot and killed Nugget, Jenelle has lost out on several business opportunities over her husband's transgressions. A few months ago, Jenelle's collaboration with SewSew You was canceled, and Jenelle even revealed that her clothing company was dropped because "haters" on TikTok screenshotted messages sent to the company to highlight how they were overlooking Jenelle and David's past behavior. A few months before that, Jenelle's beauty line, JE Cosmetics, went out of business after North Carolina removed her business license. And of course, the recent drama with Olivia and Gabbie can actually be traced back to last summer. Jenelle, who was set to star in a podcast called Girls Sh*t with Gabbie and 90 Day Fiancé alum Deavan Clegg, was fired shortly after announcing her involvement.
While Jenelle has been involved in enough drama by herself, her marriage to David does anything but help her reputation with Teen Mom 2 fans. By refusing to denounce her husband's hurtful words and actions, Jenelle will no doubt continue to find herself in compromising situations that affect her personal and professional endeavors.
