Teen Mom 2's Briana DeJesus explains the real reason behind the split with boyfriend John Rodriguez. The two had been seen doing well before the break-up, leaving fans a bit confused.
The Teen Mom 2 star has had her share of public break ups in the public eye - three to be exact. When she was first introduced to fans she was dating her daughter’s father, Devoin Austin. The two separated after Devoin dropped the ball multiple times when it came to taking care of his daughter, Nova. Briana then moved on with Kailyn Lowry’s ex-husband, Javi Marroquin, which caused a rift between the mothers even though the relationship was short-lived. Briana does not seem to find love easily as perhaps she keeps searching for love in all the wrong places.
On Monday’s episode of Teen Mom 2, Briana was sent a screenshot of what looked like an Instagram message between her boyfriend, John and another woman who claimed she was pregnant with his baby. This falsity sent a shock wave through the reality star as she was not sure what to believe. Briana dropped everything and flew to New York City to talk with John face to face. He quickly denied the claims and pointed out that the conversation was a set up to make both of them look bad. John also insisted that Briana should have known him better as that is not how he speaks.
According to Hollywood Life, the couple who dated for a little over a year broke up this past August. In the interview, Briana said that there is more to the story and if viewers keep watching the season, they will see that there was more than meets the eye then just a false pregnancy rumor. John resided in New York City while Briana is based in Florida, she explained that the long-distance relationship took a toll on the young couple. She said, "It was just that I wasn’t happy anymore and long distance got the best of us, and I have a lot going on in my life, and I had to pick and choose my battles, and that’s just what it is." Regardless of the split, the Teen Mom 2 star said, "But I do care for him. I love him and I wish him the very best. But right now, I don’t think we can be together." Briana spoke of the posibility of getting into another relationship, saying, "You know, I want to focus on what I have going on at the very moment. And later down the road, if I meet somebody, I’m not going to be scared, I’m willing to give it my all. But right now, I don’t see that happening"
For now, the couple decided that while they want the best for each other and they believe they are better off seperated. Briana still has high hopes that one day she will find the right man but currently her focus is raising her two daughters to be strong and independent. Teen Mom 2 fans will have to watch the rest of he season to get a better understanding of Briana and John's realationship and why the two are better off apart.
