Not long after getting engaged, fans are already speculating that Teen Mom 2 star Briana DeJesus and her fiancé have broken up, due to changes on Briana's Instagram. Briana first appeared on MTV on 16 and Pregnant and then Teen Mom 3. A majority of her early seasons featured her struggles co-parenting with her baby daddy Devoin. While their parenting relationship has gotten much better over the years, Briana is still unhappy with Devoin's presence in their daughter Nova's life. She's also dissatisfied with Devoin's unwillingness to pay a certain amount in child support, despite his claims that he simply doesn't make enough money to meet her standards. Fans call Briana hypocritical for accepting her other baby daddy Luis' poor behavior, while continuously demanding more from Devoin when it is clear he is trying his hardest.
There has been a lot of drama surrounding Briana's relationships. When she chose to go out with Teen Mom 2 co-star Kailyn's ex-husband Javi Marroquin, things exploded. Kailyn was not happy with that relationship and bad blood formed between the two co-stars. The relationship didn't last long, but the damage was done between her and Kailyn. Briana then moved on with John Rodriguez, who lived in New York City. It was pretty clear from their scenes together that the connection was not there, and the long distance nature of the relationship didn't help ether. Briana decided she was not happy and ended the relationship through text message. It seemed like Briana finally found her happily ever after, when she announced her engagement to boyfriend Javi Gonzalez in May 2021.
Fans are speculating Briana and her fiancé Javi have called off their engagement and broke up for good after their actions on social media. Fans were quick to notice Briana deleted all her pictures with Javi and isn't posting anything new with him. Briana is usually the type to post every aspect of her life on all social media platforms, so it is strange of her not to post about him if they are still together. Fans also did some more detective work, and found the couple has unfollowed each other on Instagram. Some further digging revealed that Briana's mom and sister also unfollowed Javi on social media. While none of this proves the couple broke up, it certainly fuels speculation from fans.
While neither party have confirmed or denied the rumors, they are both posting cryptic messages on their social media. Javi posted, then deleted an Instagram Story calling someone out, without naming names. In the post he said if he tells someone he doesn't like something and they continue to do it anyways, they are basically saying f**k you and therefore he says it right back. After deleting that post, he posted another cryptic message. In this post, he wrote that he used to think communication is the key to a healthy relationship, but he has since learned that comprehension is. He says you can talk to someone all you want, but if the person you are talking to is unable to truly understand what you're saying, it is pointless. When fans saw these posts, the rumor mill began turning even faster.
At this point, no one knows what Briana and Javi's relationship status is, except for the two of them. Fans can speculate all they want, but until they confirm they have broken up, the assumption is they are still together. It will be interesting to see when they will choose to announce their relationship status. One could assume they would like to set the record straight if they are still together.
