Teen Mom OG’s Amber Portwood, who is currently on probation for her fight with ex-boyfriend Andrew Glennon, had been working on getting her life together after her last stint in jail. The Teen Mom somehow managed to get out of trouble again after she threatened a YouTuber online and it didn't violate her probation.
The Teen Mom OG star is no stranger to being in trouble with the law, having been in turmoil previously on a variety of different charges. Back on July 5th, Portwood was arrested after a fight she had with her boyfriend, Glennon, where was arrested at her house and charged with two counts of domestic battery and one count of criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon. Glennon had called the police and insisted that Portwood had been wielding a machete at him while he was holding their 15-month-old son, James. The mother of two is still on probation for when she plead guilty to two felonies which were domestic battery and intimidation. The reality star was given 906 days of probation and if she were to violate her probation, she would face jail time.
Portwood was told she was in the clear by her probation officer for verbal threats she made against a woman from the internet. TMZ reported that the Teen Mom star threatened Katie Joy who runs Without a Crystal Ball on YouTube and had been covering Portwood’s domestic violence case for her subscribers. Joy had published the entire audio and video of the argument between Portwood and Glennon and contacted the police when Portwood went on Instagram Live and directed threats towards her. In the video, Portwood is allegedly threatening the YouTuber by telling her she knows her address and knows where she lives.
The Indiana native’s probation officer was notified of the online incident, but the Marion County Probation Department released a statement saying that the threats did not violate Portwood’s probation. Portwood has a probation order where victims could be listed, but since Joy was not one of them, it saved the MTV star from a probation breach. If Joy had been listed, Portwood would have been in violation and arrested. The Marion County Probation Department said that the only way the reality star’s probation would have been affected is if the Indianapolis Police Department decided to arrest and convict her.
As of now, Joy has not filed charged with the police for the alleged threat Portwood made towards her, and her fans are doubtful that she will. It seems that Portwood was more worried about stopping Joy from making more videos about her relationship than being arrested again. Fans are still waiting to see if Portwood will be picked up for the next season of Teen Mom OG, as the network has been pretty strict with other teen moms and their run-in with the law.
