Leah Messer has been a part of Teen Mom 2 since she was seventeen, over a decade ago, and fans have watched her grow on and off of the show. Leah is not the same cheerleader from West Virginia she once was, as she has written books, advocated for health related non-profits and entered a serious relationship in the past year.

When Leah Messer became a cast member of the spinoff Teen Mom 2, she was pregnant with twin girls and in over her head. Leah had to worry about finishing school, and her on-again off-again relationships riddled with infidelity on the show.

She also had to balance raising kids and learning of her daughter Ali's diagnosis of muscular dystrophy. Over the seasons, fans have watched Leah mature alongside her kids and begin using her platform for great causes.

3. Getting Involved

Leah may have come a long way since she first appeared on Teen Mom 2, but has still showed her same love for her hometown in West Virginia. She has gotten more involved in the community in her spare time and shared her efforts with fans to show how she has grown and matured since they first saw her. In this significant post, Leah met with Senator Shelley Capito in a public forum designed to help the residents of West Virginia. The mom of three has used her platform to improve not only the lives of her kids, but her hometown and it has been an integral part of her year.

2. New Relationship

Busy mom Leah is not all business though, as she found time to share her latest relationship with her fans. She has had a rocky dating history on Teen Mom 2 and fans are happy to see Leah in a stable relationship with boyfriend Jaylan Mobley. Though the post is recent, Leah showed pictures of Jaylan and her daughters, and they have likely been dating for a long enough time that she felt comfortable introducing him to them.

1. Kids & Advocacy

Much of Leah's Instagram is devoted to pictures of her daughters, both in the forms of advocacy, promoting her family book, and sharing her kids' milestones with fans. Leah posted a picture this year saying that two of her daughters were now middle schoolers. She has also used her platform to update fans on her daughter Ali's medical condition, muscular dystrophy, as she tries a series of new treatments. Leah has begun partnering with non-profits such as Cure Rare Disease and sold T-shirts to help raise money for the organization. She has also spoken on a podcast about her daughter's struggles and fans hope there will be more opportunities for her to spread awareness in Teen Mom 2.
