Kailyn Lowry has given Teen Mom 2 fans a sneak peek of her new boyfriend on Instagram after confirming her relationship during the season 11 reunion. Kailyn shot to fame back in 2010 when she gave birth to her first son, Isaac Rivera, during 16 And Pregnant season 2. Since breaking things off with Isaac's father Jo Rivera in 2011, Kailyn has been involved in a series of tumultuous relationships. Between her only marriage to Javi Marroquin and an on-and-off relationship with Chris Lopez, Kailyn is now a mother of four to Isaac, Lincoln Marroquin, Lux Lowry, and Creed Lopez, with Lux and Creed sharing Chris as their father.
Teen Mom 2 season 11 was one of the Teen Mom franchise's most dramatic yet, with Kailyn's storyline highlighting her continuous conflicts with Chris and co-star Briana DeJesus. After declining to film parts of season 11 and arguing with MTV producers over their questions, Kailyn ultimately joined the Teen Mom 2 reunion virtually after refusing to join Briana, Leah Messer, Ashley Jonas, and Jade Cline in-person. While hosts Dr. Drew Pinsky and Nessa Diab had questions for Kailyn about her current standing with ex-husband Javi, Kailyn shocked the pair by revealing that she was happily seeing another man. Originally, some Teen Mom fans thought that Kailyn may have been referencing her quiet relationship with Malik Montgomery, which wasn't acknowledged until court documents from Kailyn and Briana's defamation lawsuit were publicly released in April. Malik and Kailyn are officially over, however, as Kailyn's May 18 Instagram post shows off her new beau...sort of. Capturing the image, "All good over here," Kailyn is seen giggling behind her hand while her boyfriend leans in close, with Kailyn later commenting, "What do y'all think he said to me to make me laugh?" While Kailyn hasn't confirmed her beau's identity just yet--calling the post a "soft launch," of their relationship, The Sun reports that the mystery man is 23-year-old Elijah Scott, a military veteran who doubles as Kailyn's neighbor.
While the news of Kailyn's latest relationship is surprising to many, those who tune into Kailyn and co-host Lindsie Chrisley's podcast Coffee Convos have been expecting some sort of announcement since their May 5 episode. While briefly discussing the topic of marriage, Kailyn hinted that she would would be willingly to remarry because she recently "met the love of her life." Lindsie, who was clearly unaware of Kailyn's relationship, pressed for more details after calling her co-podcaster out for being vague. In response, Kailyn simply gushed that she feels like she has known her boyfriend, "for a lifetime," and feels like the two, "have been best friends forever."
Teen Mom 2 fans can expect to get a better look at Kailyn's new man on May 24 when the second part of the season 11 reunion airs, which is also set to be Kailyn's last appearance on MTV. After over a decade with the network, Kailyn recently announced that while she is grateful for the opportunities the franchise has given her, she has no plans to return to the series or the rumored Teen Mom and Teen Mom 2 spin-off, Teen Mom Legacy. Between her drama with Briana and her former friendship with Leah, it's clear that Kailyn is moving on from not just the show, but her exes.
