Although the lawsuit between Teen Mom 2 stars Kailyn Lowry and Briana DeJesus is officially over, fans following their lengthy feud are still taking Briana's side. Kailyn and Briana, who starred on MTV's 16 and Pregnant seasons 2 and 4, respectively, have been at odds for years after Briana began dating Kailyn's ex-husband Javi Marroquin in 2017. After consistently trading verbal barbs back and forth (and almost coming to physical blows during the Teen Mom 2 season 8 reunion), Kailyn sued Briana for defamation last summer. The lawsuit was based on comments that Briana made about Kailyn's 2020 arrest, in which she allegedly punched her ex-boyfriend, Chris Lopez.

After battling in court for almost a year, Kailyn's case was finally dismissed in Briana's favor on April 18. Declaring that Kailyn did not meet the burden of proof as the plaintiff, the Florida judge also ruled that Briana's statements about Kailyn allegedly breaking and entering were not made under false pretenses. Although Kailyn argued that her Teen Mom 2 co-star negatively affected her reputation, the judge determined that any damage to Kailyn's public image was incurred when news outlets originally reported on her arrest.

Since the ruling, Briana has not been shy about reacting to her victory, with the 27-year-old posting an Instagram Story featuring an Amazon cart full of clown items that were to be mailed to Kailyn with the gift note, "F****** CLOWN!" While there's no doubt that Briana shares responsibility for the dragged-out drama with Kailyn from Teen MomGoldenState_Thriller and other Reddit users are happy to see Kailyn's case dismissed. Many bring up that this lawsuit is not the first time Kailyn has taken legal action against a co-star, with several saying that they believe Kailyn uses the United States justice system "frivolously" and "to her advantage."

Bringing up previous orders of protection Kailyn filed against Javi, Chris, and ex-boyfriend Jo Rivera, several suggest that Kailyn was too quick to sue Briana"So happy for this outcome. These people need to stop with the frivolous [lawsuits]," one person wrote, to others' agreement, while another remarked, "Kail is clogging up valuable court time that could be used on important issues."

In addition, more Teen Mom fans are taking Briana's side because they consider Kailyn to be more hypocritical. Several users argue that while Briana should hold her tongue more often to avoid conflict, the only person who has damaged Kailyn's reputation is herself. Many referenced a Teen Mom 2 season 4 scene showing Kailyn striking Javi during an argument. "[Kailyn] gave Javi so much s***...when he broke into what was his own home [during Teen Mom season 7]," one Reddit user pointed out, while another suggested, "Maybe [Kailyn] should focus on not displaying this behavior in the first place, then none of this would be happening."

Overall, Teen Mom 2 fans agree that Kailyn and Briana's court battle was unnecessary, calling the defamation lawsuit a waste of money for both women. While some are wondering if Kailyn will have to pay Briana's court fees (and how much money this could be), others are curious to see how this affects the Teen Mom franchise. With Kailyn publicly apologizing to Jenelle Evans almost two weeks ago, fans are keeping an eye out to see if Briana will be the next one to get an apology.
