From cheating boyfriends to love triangles to bad grades that make college dreams feel far away, it doesn't get much more emotional than a teen drama. For high schoolers, everything is the end of the world, and maturity isn't a thing. This is a unique TV genre that has some excellent offerings, but also some not-so-great shows that make high school drama feel too pedestrian.
Pisces signs will devour many of these shows, but some will seem like a drag. Read on to find out five teen dramas that Pisces will love and five that the will hate.
Love: The Fosters
Emotional Pisces signs are going to love the teen drama The Fosters. Some other zodiac signs might find this to be a corny show, but the compassion that the characters have for each other is truly heartwarming.
Stef (Teri Polo) and Lena (Sherri Saum) are committed to raising their children and teaching them right from wrong, and with each episode, everyone learns new lessons and tries to become a better person. Pisces will wish that these lovable characters were real.
Hate: The O.C.
The O.C. may be a popular teen drama but it's a very uneven one. The first two seasons are good, but after that, the characters go off in weird and different directions.
Pisces signs will hate many of the characters on this show, like Marissa Cooper (Mischa Barton) and her mom Julie (Melinda Clarke). These characters are sad all the time but they don't seem to know how to treat others well. Pisces are helpers, so they would want to reach through the TV and help these people, and it would frustrate them that the Cooper family is so broken.
Love: Joan Of Arcadia
Joan (Amber Tamblyn) is a typical teenager on Joan Of Arcadia. Well, that would be true if typical teenagers could talk to God, and if God was sometimes an elderly woman, a teenage boy, or a kid playing in the park.
Pisces will love this teen drama, which aired for two seasons and is pretty underrated, because Joan really taps into her emotions and tries to help others. She feels that she was put on Earth to carry out this mission, and she does her best.
Hate: 13 Reasons Why
For a sign that feels things incredibly deeply, the story of a young girl who took her own life would be too much to bear. And the fact that the tragedies just keep coming in every episode of 13 Reasons Why would be hard for Pisces to watch as well.
This is a very controversial show that has a lot of disturbing content, and it's not going to be something that a Pisces can sit through.
Love: Party Of Five
The Party Of Five reboot might not have lasted, but the original had six fantastic seasons and some terrific performances from Neve Campbell, Lacey Chabert, Matthew Fox, and Scott Wolf. Pisces signs will love the Salinger family, who have to take care of each other when their parents die.
This show is all feelings, all the time. Of all the zodiac signs, Pisces are said to have a true knowledge of life and death, so they will really connect with this tragic story.
Hate: The Vampire Diaries
Pisces signs hate watching people be cruel to one another so they might want to cross watching The Vampire Diaries off their list.
Whether it's siblings fighting (like the Salvatore brothers) or evil vampires and other creatures hurting humans, this show has a lot of dark moments that Pisces will want to shield their eyes from.
Love: My So-Called Life
Angela Chase (Clare Danes) is famous for her babydoll dresses, baggy plaid shirts, and her crush on Jordan Catalano (Jared Leto). But she's also famous for having feelings... a lot of them. And she's able to articulate them so well.
Pisces will cheer Angela on, loving whenever she goes on a big rant or sums up what everyone else is thinking. When Angela says, "Sometimes it seems like we're all living in some kind of prison, and the crime is how much we hate ourselves," it's an incredibly wise statement, and definitely something a Pisces would say.
Hate: Insatiable
It's hard to think of a more controversial teen drama than Insatiable, which got viewers talking as soon as it started streaming on Netflix. It's a very cruel show about beauty pageants and teen life, and it would be painful for Pisces to watch.
The focus on weight and being skinny above everything else would really hurt a Pisces sign's feelings as they have a lot of empathy and compassion for people.
Love: Everything Sucks!
Pisces signs are going to be into any teen drama that features characters who are super sensitive, so the short-lived Netflix show Everything Sucks! will be a favorite of theirs.
The characters are coming of age and figuring out their personalities and feelings, and Pisces signs will wish that they could give them advice — or a hug.
Hate: Freaks And Geeks
While Freaks And Geeks is an iconic teen comedy-drama and fans can't seem to get enough, Pisces signs won't really see it that way.
They would hate that the show is dividing people up into categories, and they would want to help everyone be comfortable with who they are.
