Following its freshman season, the series was renewed for season 2 on the streaming service.

The series, which sees Jason Sudeikis playing the character yet again, follows an American football league coach who is hired to manage a struggling football team in London. While fans were already excited about the series getting a season 2 renewal, it appears the comedy will be getting a season 3 as well.

Ted Lasso is a pure delight in every sense of the word, delivering sharp writing, wonderful performances, especially from Sudeikis, and consistent laughs anchored by heart, ultimately making the comedy series a winner for the streaming service. Hearing that Apple has such faith in the series is a welcome surprise, considering it's unusual for a series to get picked up for another season before the next has even begun to film. Still, the show appears to be a massive hit with audiences. If the series can continue to put up the kind of numbers as season 1, it's not hard to imagine Ted Lasso sticking around past season 3 on Apple TV+.
