Toy company Fisher-Price releases a new addition to the Little People (LP) Collector sets - the cast of Ted Lasso. The Fisher-Price LP Collector sets are known for their adorable accuracy and have featured fan-favorite series such as RuPaul's Drag Race, The Office, and The Golden Girls. Their new addition, Ted Lasso, is an Apple TV+ American sports comedy-drama that has become an awards-season darling, scoring 40 nominations for seasons 1 and 2 and so far taking home seven wins. Featuring Jason Sudeikis as Ted Lasso himself, the series follows an American college football coach who is recruited to manage a soccer team overseas (AFC Richmond) despite having no experience with the sport. The titular character is able to charm those who doubt him and bring the team together with heart.

Though the series is centered around a specific sport, Ted Lasso has been able to capture audiences with no interest in soccer and charm critics with its warmth, positivity and humor - much like Ted himself does. It premiered in August 2020 and brought some much-needed optimism to viewers at home still in the midst of the pandemic. Season 2 debuted in July 2021 and enjoyed the same level of success as the first, increasing viewership for Apple TV+ by even more than its predecessor. Ted Lasso season 3 is expected to air late this year or early in 2023, and fans that are eager to return to AFC Richmond even sooner now have an option.

Fisher-Price's new Ted Lasso LP collector set is rich with detail, so much so that even the packaging - which takes the form of a locker room - is laden with Easter eggs. The set includes six characters: Rebecca Welton; Keeley Jones; Coach Beard; Roy Kent; Sam Obisanya; and Ted. Marketing the set as one to celebrate Ted Lasso, Fisher-Price is selling the set for $29.99 through the Mattel website, as well as through retailers such as Amazon, Walmart, and Target. Several of the characters hold an item typical to their personality and sport expressive mannerisms. Brett Goldstein's Roy Kent is no exception, as his grumpy facial expression is amusingly spot-on. Check out images of the new figures and their packaging below:

Often considered a foil to Ted, former Team Captain Roy Kent is almost always seen with a scowl, and tends to shout rather than speak calmly to those around him. Though he doesn't have much of his coach's signature charm, Roy eventually won over fans with his rare moments of vulnerability, especially shown in scenes with his niece, girlfriend Keeley, and Ted himself. Despite his gruff demeanor, it was demonstrated early on that Roy is protective over those in need, such as when he defended Nate from Jamie's bullying. While he may be somewhat of a softie on the inside, Fisher-Price has certainly nailed his tough exterior in adorable fashion.

At the end of season 2, Roy and Keeley's relationship status was left slightly ambiguous, despite Keeley's insistence that they are still on good terms. Additionally, Roy must reckon with the idea that he may be a negative influence on his niece, which is an issue, since he has been coaching her school soccer team since retiring from AFC Richmond. With plenty of drama waiting for him in season 3, it's certain that Roy's scowl will be back on the silver screen before long - and now it's been immortalized in toy form.
