The Ted Lasso cast reunites for charity in a funny new sketch video for Red Nose Day. The fundraiser event has been held for over three decades now, often including celebrities who show their support in creative ways to help raise money for Comic Relief. Ted Lasso, the acclaimed Apple TV+ sports comedy series following Jason Sudeikis' ever-optimistic American college football coach learning to lead an English soccer team, brings a positive energy that fans have fallen in love with. Based on the character Sudeikis first brought to life for Premier League promos back in 2013, the show debuted in 2020 and became an instant success, with season 2 airing last year. In addition to Sudeikis, the cast includes Brett Goldstein, Hannah Waddingham, Jeremy Swift, Phil Dunster, and Juno Temple.

Fans of Ted Lasso last saw Richmond secure its promotion back to the Premier League, but experienced the break in Ted and Nate's relationship, ending with the series showing Nate as part of the West Ham coaching staff. Season 3 was confirmed in October of 2020, prior to season 2's premiere, to the delight of audiences. On March 7, 2022, the streaming platform announced that Ted Lasso season 3 filming had begun and revealed a partnership with Nike, who redesigned AFC Richmond's jerseys.

Now, the Ted Lasso cast can be seen showing their support for Comic Relief in a new sketch for Red Nose Day 2022. The video shared to YouTube begins with Ted and Roy, who engage in some familiar banter, before introducing the other characters' charity efforts, from Coach Beard hula-hooping for 24 hours straight to the players practicing "living art." Ted comically states that for his part, he will play "keepy-upy," before poking fun at CGI by having Will come out in a green morph suit holding the soccer ball. Check out the full video below:

Ted Lasso season 3 story details have been scarce, but a few of its producers recently revealed some information suggesting the show will dig deeper into its characters' backstories. It is also said to be reminiscent of seasons 1 & 2, bringing back more of what fans admire it for, while throwing in a few surprises. There is currently no scheduled Ted Lasso season 3 release date, but given that production picked back up this month, it will likely arrive later in the year.

The positive energy that Sudeikis' character constantly provides makes this show's cast a great group to participate in a sketch for Comic Relief and Red Nose Day. As behind-the-scenes Ted Lasso photos start to surface, audiences can start building anticipation for season 3. With all of the series' sustained success and the amount of love from fans, there will certainly be a lot to look forward to when Ted Lasso returns to Apple TV+.
