News recently broke that Tatiana Maslany landed the coveted role of She-Hulk/Jennifer Walters in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe series set for Disney+. Some fans were a bit curious as Maslany isn't a household name and many expected Alison Brie to score the role. Those who have watched Maslany know how talented she is.

The actor has starred in a handful of television roles and films, often stealing the show in underrated gems. Maslany even has an Emmy win for Best Leading Actress under her belt. Looking at her career in terms of IMDb ratings, her fans hold her in pretty high esteem.

Released in 2015, Woman in Gold is based on the true story of a Jewish refugee in her 80s who goes against the Austrian government to get back artwork that rightfully belongs to her family. While it wasn't a huge hit, it did gross over five times its budget.

The film boasted an impressive cast including Ryan Reynolds, Daniel Brühl, Katie Holmes, Max Irons, and Jonathan Pryce. The lead, Maria Altmann, was played by Helen Mirren. In a role that had to be an honor to take on, Maslany played the young version of Altmann.

Instant Star (7.4)

If you forgot what Instant Star is, then you're honestly not alone. The series was most known for coming on after Degrassi: The Next Generation during the mid-2000sInstant Star ran from 2004 until 2008, spanning 52 episodes. It chronicled the experiences of a teenager who won a singing competition.

The series was led by Alexz Johnson, while Maslany appeared in eight episodes as Zeppelin Dyer during the fourth season. While the show wasn't majorly popular, it had passionate fans. They signed many petitions after it was canceled, though it was never brought back.

Similar to Instant Star and her other eventual hit show, Tatiana Maslany had a role in this series that was created in Canada. Being Erica was a comedy-drama that ran for four seasons and 49 episodes from 2009 until 2011.

It focused on a woman who starts going to a therapist who has the ability to send her back in time to correct past regrets. Erin Karpluk played Erica Strange, while Michael Riley played the therapist, Tom Wexley. Maslany appeared in four episodes as Sarah, Tom's daughter.

The most recent entry onto this list, Perry Mason premiered in 2020 on HBO. It is based on a character of the same name and there was even a series about it back in the '50s. It takes place in the 1930s and follows a top defense lawyer struggling with a divorce and past traumas.

3Below is probably the most unique entry on this list. The animated series ran from 2018 until 2019 and was one of the lesser-promoted Netflix originals in recent memory. Created by Guillermo del Toro, it was the second part of his Tales of Arcadia trilogy.

The first was Trollhunters and the third was Wizards3Below was led by Maslany, who voiced both Aja and Queen Coranda Tarron. The rest of the cast was loaded with talent including Diego Luna, Nick Offerman, Glenn Close, J.B. Smoove, and more.

Captain Canuck (8.0)

Another animated series and another based out of Canada, which should be obvious by the title. Captain Canuck wasn't seen by many people. In fact, it barely has over 50 reviews on IMDb but most of those ratings were highly positive. For those unaware, Captain Canuck is a Canadian comic book hero.

A proposed film never came about but then a 2014 web series spanning five episodes found success. Canuck was voiced by Kris Holden-Ried, while Maslany voiced Redcoat for four episodes. The cult status of the little-known series led to a one-shot being published of the character.

Orphan Black (8.3)

It's the role that made Tatiana Maslany famous and won her the Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama. Debuting in 2013, Orphan Black ran for five seasons and centered around a group of women who are all clones and the conspiracy that comes with their existence.

Maslany was heavily praised for her incredible work on the series. She played every clone, including the core five who appeared in nearly every episode. She was so good that she made each one unique in a way that you could tell who was who just from little mannerisms.

Heartland (8.4)

It's the longest-running show on this list. CBC's Heartland has been on the air since 2007 and so far, it has 13 seasons spanning 214 episodes, with a 14th on the horizon. Based on a book series of the same name by Lauren Brooke, it focuses on a family living on a ranch.

The focal points are sisters Amy and Lou Fleming. The Canadian series (that trend continues) saw Tatiana Maslany nab a guest role that spanned 15 episodes as Kit Bailey, a "punk" cowgirl.

Trollhunters (8.5)

Before 3Below, Tatiana Maslany also had a voice role on the first part of the Guillermo del Toro Tales of Arcadia trilogyTrollhunters. This leg of the series focused on a boy names James Lake Jr., who finds an amulet and stumbles upon a magical world.

There, he finds things like trolls and other monsters, which he must help protect his world from. Maslany again voiced Aja, although her role was much less pronounced here, where she only appeared in two episodes. A full-length film is set to be released in 2021.

Parks And Recreation (8.6)

Similar to Trollhunters, Tatiana Maslany only had a guest role in this series. Parks and Recreation ran for seven seasons and 125 episodes, all the while being considered one of the best comedy shows in modern history. It focused on the Parks and Rec department in the absurd small town of Pawnee, Indiana.

Although Maslany didn't appear in many episodes, she was memorable. She showed up in season six's "Gin It Up!" as Nadia, a doctor who Tom Haverford (Aziz Ansari) falls for. He acts goofy but she agrees to go on a date with him, which was seen in the following episode, "Filibuster."
