After players arrive at Messia 224 in Tales of Arise, they will receive the "Hard Liquor" quest from a Woodcutter Man who needs 4x Earth Seeds to brew alcohol to stave off the cold. Upon this quest's completion, players will receive 700 Gald, 135 SP, and the recipe for crafting Lohikeitto, a tasty vegetable and salmon soup that grants more enemy drops for 4 minutes. Players can slightly extend the buff's duration by 20% with Kisara's special cooking technique in Tales of Arise.

Earth Seeds are acquired by slaying a certain kind of enemy in Tales of Arise. Fortunately, players do not need to travel very far from Messia 224, as the location in Tales of Arise that the seeds are obtainable in, is two regions away. Players who make good use of the fast travel system will be able to arrive even quicker. Although initially, the seeds are used for a quest, they can also be used in crafting.

To acquire Earth Seeds in Tales of Arise, players will need to travel to Ulvhan Grotto, the underground Dahnan passage between Calaglia and Cyslodia. While the trip should only take a few minutes by foot from Messia 224, players can fast travel to the beginning of the White Silver Plains to easily access the cave entrance of Ulvhan Grotto. Head into the area and search for tentacular mushroom-like creatures called Ropers. These greenish, glowing beasts will drop Earth Seeds upon being slain.

Tales of Arise Ropers

Players should be able to acquire enough Earth Seeds for the quest, and perhaps more after farming a few Ropers. Later on, players will travel to Rudhir Forest, another area where Ropers can be found. So those who accepted the "Hard Liquor" quest, but didn't complete it, can also collect 4x Earth Seeds in Rudhir Forest. After collecting the seeds, return to the Woodcutter Man in Messia 224 to finish the quest.

If a player has a few extra seeds, they can use them to craft Ground Fang, a weapon for Alphen in Tales of Arise. The Ground Fang is a sword powered by earth astral energy and can be forged by using 2x Earth Seeds and 6x Sharp Fangs. The fangs can be acquired by slaying Wolves, Hawks, and Berserkers in the White Silver Plains.
