Google's latest flagship, the Pixel 7 Pro, can do many things, and clicking macro and super-zoomed images are among them. The smartphone was released alongside the Pixel 7, one of the best Android devices of the year. The Pixel 7 & Pixel 7 Pro come with Google's Tensor G2 chipset.

Like the iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro, the ultrawide lens on the Pixel 7 Pro doubles as a macro lens, enabling users to get up close on objects. However, to click telephoto images, the Pixel 7 Pro has a dedicated 48MP lens that provides more optical zoom and detail than the iPhone's 12MP telephoto lens.

Users do not need an additional lens or equipment to click a macro picture from the Pixel 7 Pro. The Pixel 7 Pro comes with a Macro Focus mode that allows users to take images of tiny subjects, such as a flower, an insect or a water drop. To activate the Macro Focus mode, users simply need to get close to their subject, and the camera app will automatically switch from the normal mode to the macro mode. Once the Macro Focus mode is active, one should see a small yellow flower icon appear with the focus ring. After that, users can move around a bit to get the composition and the focus right. Finally, they can click a macro photograph by tapping the shutter button. And yes, the Macro Focus mode allows users to zoom in digitally on their subject up to five times.

If users are unhappy with the results of their Pixel 7 Pro's Macro Focus mode, there is another way to capture macro images. Open the camera app, set up the subject in front of the phone, and use the telephoto lens to zoom in on the subject instead of taking the phone closer. Depending upon the distance between the object and the phone, zooming in two times to five times will do the trick. Since the telephoto lens has a higher resolution than the ultrawide lens, it should click sharper images. Those were two ways to click amazing macro images using the Pixel 7 Pro. The smartphone also has the Super Res Zoom feature that captures high-quality photos from a distance.

Pixel 7 Pro users can zoom in up to 30 times on a distant object, thanks to the telephoto lens and the advanced computational photography of the Tensor G2 chipset. First, users can zoom in without losing image quality with the 48MP telephoto lens. After that, users can go up to 30X, wherein the hardware and software work together to generate detailed images. Finally, users must pinch the screen to click super-zoomed pictures on the Pixel 7 Pro. The zoom level is shown with the help of the slider near the shutter button.
