Summary

Fourteen-year-old Joe witnesses his parents' marriage falling apart, after his father sets out to battle a forest fire in 1960s Montana. Adapted from the novel by Richard Ford. Production began in late 2016 in Montana and Oklahoma (partly due to concerns with the winter weather in Montana). The movie premiered at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival, ahead of its screenings at the major film festivals in Toronto, New York, and London.
