Synopsis

After her anxiety-ridden mother disappears, 15-year-old Bee does everything she can to track her down, discovering her troubled past in the process.

This film is based on the book of the same name by Maria Semple. Annapurna Pictures and Color Force acquired the rights back in 2013, but Richard Linklater was not hired to direct until 2015. The cast slowly rounded into shape over the course of the next couple of years, and filming finally began in July 2017.

Originally, Where'd You Go, Bernadette was going to be a 2018 release, but continuously had its premiere pushed back. It's now set for August 2019.
