Welcome to Marwen (2018)

Based on a true story, Welcome to Marwen follows Steve Carell as Mark Hogancamp, who suffers from a debilitating post-traumatic stress disorder following an assault that leaves his memories scattered. To cope with the assault, Mark uses dolls and scenery to recreate a World War II scenario in which he places himself in the middle, with the Nazi soldiers representing the men involved with the assault. Mark slowly heals by acting out positive and uplifting moments with his dolls as he tries to reintegrate into society.
