Summary
Disney and Pixar's Turning Red introduces Mei Lee (Rosalie Chiang), a confident, dorky 13-year-old torn between staying her mother's dutiful daughter and the chaos of adolescence. Unfortunately, her protective, if not slightly overbearing, mother, Ming (voice of Sandra Oh), is never far from her daughter. As if changes to her interests, relationships, and body weren't enough, whenever her emotions run rampant, she "poofs" into a massive red panda. Though Mei learns that if she listens to her mother's instructions, she can be rid of the Panda form eventually - she soon realizes that maybe embracing who she is, is all a part of growing up - and hugging her inner panda may be what she wants.
