Thunder Force (2021)
From writer/director Ben Falcone comes the superhero comedy Thunder Force, a film about two best friends who gain superpowers to protect their planet. When a strange incident in the 1980s causes all of the sociopaths in the world to become superpowered, they use their abilities to strike fear into humanity. Encouraged to stop their reign of terror after losing her parents to one of these foes, geneticist Emily Stanton invents a formula that gives humans their own powers. Together with her childhood friend, Lydia, the two decide to even the playing field and fight back against their oppressors.

Summary
