Avengers: Secret Wars is the sixth Avengers film and takes place during phase six of Marvel's Cinematic Universe. The film will see several heroes from the prior phases return and battle against a cosmic threat to rival Thanos, and borrows elements of the Marvel Comics event of the same name.

Summary
The latest of projects in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Marvel's Secret Wars, was a classic storyline covered once in 1984-1985 and again in 2015. In Secret Wars, Marvel heroes and villains from different dimensions were all summoned by cosmic entities known as Beyonders to fight one another in a place called Battleworld. These events led to the eventual destruction of specific dimensions in the multiverse and the birth of new ones - with surviving characters merging into the new reborn multiverse. The Russo Brothers had shown interest in Secret Wars as the next MCU property to tackle as it was their favorite storyline from when they were younger, but as of now, Kevin Feige has stated they are not helming the film. As the multiverse has been appropriately introduced in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as in Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, Avengers: Secret Wars will be the furthest point in the MCU timeline. Secret Wars was announced for a 2025 release date at SDCC 2022 and will be the 6th titled Avengers film after 2025's Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.
