Summary
Steelrising is an action/RPG souls-like title where players battle against a mechanical army in the year 1789 during the French Revolution in Paris. When King Louis XVI decides to lay siege to the people and suppress the revolution, one automaton known as Aegis will stand and fight against the entirety of the tyrannical king's mechanical army. Aegis, the bodyguard of Queen Marie Antoinette, will send Aegis to find her creator to help her face off against Louis XVI. Players will modify their protagonist with interchangeable weapons built into her body with several melee and ranged weapons. The game's souls-like influence carries from combat to environmental exploration. Players can explore this alternative historical version of Paris as they climb up the city and see revised versions of Paris landmarks. Players will parry, jump, and time attacks perfectly to deal critical damage to foes while avoiding some of their own.
