Summary
Stars at Noon is a film adaptation of the novel by Denis Johnson starring Margaret Qualley and Joe Alwyn. When a young American Journalist named Trish (Qualley) finds herself stranded in Nicaragua, she falls for a curious Englishman named Daniel (Alwyn). She realizes he may be her ticket out of the country. However, she soon discovers Daniel is in even greater danger, and he may need her help as much as she needs his. The film changes the era from the Nicaraguan revolution to the present day to modernize the setting but maintain the themes central to the story and its various conflicts. Stars at Noon initially premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on May 25 2022 and will arrive in theaters on October 14 2022.

Stars At Noon Review: A Languid Romantic Thriller Saved By Strong Performances
Struck by pacing issues & a lack of chemistry between its leads, Stars at Noon is saved by Qualley & Alwyn's performances & a lush vision from Denis.
