Summary

Actor/director Christian Tafdrup partners with his brother Mads Tafdrup to create Speak no Evil, a danish horror drama. Bjorn (Morten Burian,) Louise (Sidsel Siem Koch,) and their daughter Agnes (Liva Forsberg) are on vacation in Italy, where they become fast friends with a Dutch couple and their son. The Dutch family, smitten with the protagonists, invites them to stay at their home in the Netherlands for a visit. However, misunderstandings give way to fear and danger as the friendly visit suddenly turns horrific as the Danish family discovers that they're prisoners of their new hosts and must find a means to escape. Speak No Evil also acts as a commentary between cultural divides and hospitality, according to director Christian Tafdrup. Primarily filmed in English, the film debuted at the Sundance Film Festival on January 22 2022, and was released in Denmark on March 17 2022.
