"The cake is a lie" in Portal, a puzzle-adventure game created by Valve. Players play as silent protagonist Chell, a young woman who wakes up in a translucent cube-shaped cell, guided to solve a series of tasks using a strange device known as a portal-gun. To escape this odd testing facility, players must guide Chell through increasingly complicated puzzle rooms where they must use their portal-generating gun to progress, all while being mocked by a devious-yet-comical AI known as GLaDOS.
