Synopsis

After surviving a near fatal bovine attack, a disfigured cafeteria chef (Wade Wilson) struggles to fulfill his dream of becoming Mayberry’s hottest bartender while also learning to cope with his lost sense of taste. Searching to regain his spice for life, as well as a flux capacitor, Wade must battle ninjas, the yakuza, and a pack of sexually aggressive canines, as he journeys around the world to discover the importance of family, friendship, and flavor – finding a new taste for adventure and earning the coveted coffee mug title of World’s Best Lover.

This is the sequel to Deadpool, the 2016 comic book blockbuster that earned widespread critical acclaim (including a Producers Guild nomination for Best Picture) and broke box office records during its run, becoming the highest-grossing R-rated film of all-time. For the followup, Ryan Reynolds’ Wade Wilson is joined by new heroes Cable (Josh Brolin) and Domino (Zazie Beetz), who are joining the franchise as a means of setting up the X-Force film that Drew Goddard is helming. Deadpool 2 (which is not the official title) sees many characters from the original return, including Colossus, Negasonic Teenage Warhead, Blind Al, and Dopinder the taxi driver. David Leitch of John Wick fame is taking over director duties for Tim Miller, who moved on to make a new Terminator with James Cameron.
