Summary
This big screen adaptation of Andrew Lloyd Webber's famous Broadway musical - itself based on T.S. Eliot's Old Possum's Book of Practical Cats - follows a tribe of cats (known as the Jellicles) as they decide one night which cat will ascend to the Heaviside Layer and return to a new life. Tom Hooper was attached to direct the film in 2016. The main cast came together in mid-2018, ahead of production getting started at Warner Bros. Studios, Leavesden the following November.
