Alcatraz (2012)
Initially created for Fox, Alcatraz is a sci-fi thriller series helmed by Bad Robot Productions that centers around the titular San Francisco island prison that was condemned in the '60s. Set in the same year that the prison closed, the series takes a "what-if" approach and explores the mysterious disappearance of hundreds of inmates and guards tied to a government cover-up conspiracy. However, when all of those who went missing suddenly appear back in San Francisco during the modern day, they become targets of the same agency seeking to keep the truth under wraps.
