With the bar already set pretty high, star Eugene Cordero says Tacoma FD season 4 will be even crazier and goofier than what's come before. The TruTV comedy series hails from Broken Lizard duo and Super Troopers writers/stars Kevin Heffernan and Steve Lemme. Tacoma FD is primarily set in the titular Washington firehouse and explores the crazy antics of its firehouse crew as they're bored from a lack of actual fires in their small town and every other government department out for their budget.

Heffernan and Lemme lead the cast of Tacoma FD as Chief Terry McConky and Captain Eddie Penisi alongside Marcus Henderson as Granfield "Granny" Smith, Hassie Harrison as Terry's daughter and rookie firefighter Lucy McConky, Gabriel Hogan as Ike Crystal and Eugene Cordero as Andy Myawani. First premiering on truTV in early 2019, the series has received mixed reviews from critics but largely positive reviews from audiences for its similar humor to Heffernan and Lemme's cult favorite Super Troopers movies. With Tacoma FD garnering consistent ratings across its three seasons, truTV gave the show a season 4 renewal and now one of the stars is sharing some insight for what's to come from the new season.

While speaking exclusively with Screen Rant to discuss his Simply Beverages ad campaign, Eugene Cordero offered an update on Tacoma FD season 4. The star revealed that filming on the new season is gearing up to begin soon and promises it will be even crazier and goofier than what's come before. See what Cordero shared below:

"Season 4 is starting up. Those guys are the funniest and the easiest to work for and work with. Season 4 is gonna be great. You think the hijinks that was happening already would keep happening and instead they're raising the bar and making crazier stuff happening. Crazier things happen, so get ready for more, there's a lot of goofs. I would say Tacoma FD is filled with goofy moments, even when the plots aren't the craziest, it's the goofiest moments, so it's fun and I'm happy to be part of it. [Haven't started] yet, just getting started with it now. Same kind of thing of I can't really fill it with any teasers or any things like that, but yeah, definitely some fun things and crazy things are to happen, especially with Penisi, he does crazy things."

Tacoma FD Trio

Tacoma FD season 3 ended in pretty explosive fashion with the titular fire station burning down and the group losing some of their most prized possessions, including Ike's mattress full of savings, Granny's therapy mannequins and Andy's grandfather's ashes. The season finale also saw the return of fellow Broken Lizard vet Paul Soter as Fire Inspector Boykins as he investigated the cause of the fire and placed the blame squarely on the Tacoma crew, putting all of their jobs in jeopardy. The finale also featured the return of Joe Pantoliano as Eddie's dad and McConky's boss, who admonishes the group for what happened and says he's shutting them down.

Cordero's promise of a crazier and goofier Tacoma FD season 4 is sure to come as an exciting tease for fans of the series as well as his confirmation that filming is set to begin soon. Though he didn't offer an exact timeline for when it would get started, it seems likely production will kick off sometime closer to August given Cordero's involvement with Loki season 2, which reportedly has finally begun filming. Audiences can catch up on the first three seasons of Tacoma FD streaming on HBO Max now.
