T-Mobile is always trying to entice people to join its wireless service, and its latest strategy includes giving away a year of Paramount+ for free. The world of online streaming services has absolutely exploded in recent years. Gone are the days of just needing to choose between Netflix and Hulu. The market's now flooded with options like Peacock, HBO Max, Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and countless others.

Among all of its other various promotions, this streaming niche is one T-Mobile's had a lot of success with. Since 2017, T-Mobile has included a free Netflix subscription with its unlimited plans. The carrier also offered a free year of Quibi when it was still around, along with free Apple TV+ memberships back in April. With new shows popping up all the time on countless services, it's pretty handy getting a couple of them for free with your wireless bill.

Looking to expand on that even more, T-Mobile's now giving away a free year of Paramount+. The carrier announced the deal on November 4 and is offering it to new and existing customers alike (including Sprint customers that T-Mobile acquired with its merger last year). So long as someone has a postpaid wireless or home internet consumer plan — regardless of which one it is — they're eligible for the free Paramount+ subscription. Considering many of T-Mobile's recent promotions have been tied to its costly Magenta MAX plan, seeing the carrier open this up to everyone is a nice touch.

How To Get A Free Year Of Paramount+

T-Mobile's Paramount+ promo website

Even better, signing up for your free year of Paramount+ should be a piece of cake. Starting Tuesday, November 9, customers can visit the Paramount+ page on T-Mobile's website and begin the sign-up process. Once it's complete, you'll have 12 months to watch Paramount+ without paying a dime. It also doesn't matter if someone is new to Paramount+ or already pays for the streaming service. So long as you're a T-Mobile customer, you'll be able to visit the website on November 9 and redeem a free year within minutes.

As with any promo, however, there are a couple of fine details to be aware of. For starters, Paramount+ requires a credit card to get this deal. That's because the service will start charging the card as soon as the free year is up. T-Mobile's website also confirms that "Paramount+ will not send a reminder alerting you of your upcoming offer expiring." In other words, you'll want to set a reminder to cancel in November 2023 to avoid an unwanted $4.99/month charge.

It's also worth mentioning that the free year of Paramount+ is for the Essential plan. This includes access to the full Paramount+ on-demand library and live channels for the NFL, soccer games, and 24/7 live news from CBSN. The two biggest downsides are that you'll have to watch 'limited' ads during shows and can't download tiles for offline playback. Still, as a freebie that's available to virtually everyone on T-Mobile, there's not much to dislike.
