Everybody in the ensemble of Sydney to the Max has a unique personality that helps carry the show forward. Each character's strengths and weaknesses come to fruition to solve any situation they may get themselves into. While we anticipate the premiere of Season 3, take a look at which characters fall on the MBTI® spectrum.

Sydney Reynolds: ENTP/ESTP

ENTP and ESTP types on the MBTI® scale are known for being spontaneous and focused on the here-and-now, as routines bore them. Sydney's "live life to the fullest" persona and energetic approach towards solving problems helps her get through even the most sticky situations.

These types on the scale can also be outspoken and learn best while doing, which Sydney demonstrates when she is at home with her family.

Max Reynolds: INTJ

Max Reynolds in Sydney to the Max

As a single father to Sydney, Max works hard to provide for his family while teaching Sydney how to get through her preteens. An INTJ personality type is original and possesses a great drive for implementing ideas and reaching their goals.

Max is college-educated and has his own bike shop, which connects to his INTJ type of organizing a job and carrying it through. Even though he was a rebellious teenager growing up, his ability to see the patterns of Sydney's antics and relate them to his own experiences (as an INTJ does) brings a different perspective to his parenting style.

Judy Reynolds: INFP

Judy Reynolds in Sydney to the Max

As the matriarch of the Reynolds family, Judy wants the best for her son and granddaughter. Being an INFP personality type means that seeking to understand others and helping them fulfill their potential comes naturally to her.

A more adventurous and spiritual person, Judy wants an external life that is parallel to her values as a mom, grandmother, and human being. Her curiosity in Sydney's shenanigans and adaptability to her family's everyday mishaps are true to her INFP type.

Leo Webb: ISFJ

Leo Webb in Sydney to the Max

The more friendly on the MBTI® scale, the ISFJ personality is a very dedicated person who is focused on meeting their obligations. Leo, Max's best friend and cousin-in-law, is known for this exact quality by his close-knit circle and gives his all in everything he does.

Included in Leo's resume is the development of his very own mobile application and being the owner of a successful technology company. Being an ISFJ type, his thoroughness and accuracy towards his work guide him closer to his accomplishments. As a friend, Leo is concerned with those closest to him and how they are feeling, making him a very loyal and considerate person.

Olive Rozalski: ENFJ

Olive Rozalski in Sydney to the Max

Television best friends are essential to a show's dynamic, and Olive and Sydney's friendship proves that everyone in Clara Barton Middle School needs an Olive. She's similar to the ENFJ type on an MBTI® scale, meaning she has a very warm personality. She wants to help her friends reach their full potential due to her high attention to the emotions of the people around her.

Olive's sociable quality gives her a lot of empathetic tendencies.  She is also extremely prepared in everything she does; her position in the Emergency Preparedness Club connects to her ENFJ side of being a responsible leader and role model for others.

Zach Thompson: ENFP

Zach Thompson in Sydney to the Max

Being the most popular eighth-grade boy at Clara Barton Middle School is a big job for Zach Thompson, whose ENFP personality on the MBTI® scale is spot on to his reputation.

As an ENFP, Zach needs a lot of affirmation from others, even when he receives a lot of love from his classmates. He is a professional at improvising when he needs to get out of trouble since he can make connections between information and events quickly. Zach is easily every girl's crush for his enthusiasm and imaginative mind.

Emmy Mendoza: ISFP

Emmy in Sydney to the Max

Sydney's friend Emmy may be on the quieter side, but she is always aware of what is happening with her friends. ISTP personalities do not like disagreements, which results in them not sharing their opinions or values much with others, much like Emmy in the series.

Her cooperative and kind aura is contagious, making her a positive friend for Sydney to have during her middle school years. Emmy's commitment to her values and her inner circle is what ISFPs do best, as this trait is important to their inner success.

Vice-Principal Virmani: ISTJ

A rule follower and enforcer at heart, Vice-Principal Virmani is the textbook definition of an ISTJ personality type.

A more realistic and serious persona, he would rather stay out of extra-curricular activities. Instead, he focuses on making his middle school orderly while following tradition. ISTJ types are very logical in how things should be done and take a matter-of-fact approach, which Vice-Principal Virmani displays in each episode.

Ms. Taylor: ESFP

Ms Taylor in Sydney to the Max

Zach's mom, Ms. Taylor, enjoys working with others to make things happen on the PTA at the middle school. Her ESFP personality translates to her ability to adapt to new people and environments in any activity she joins.

Like her son, Ms. Taylor is known for her flexibility and spontaneity. She has a genuine love for life and being around people. ESFPs bring common sense to their work but make sure that their work is fun, no matter the setting.

Mrs. Harris: ESTJ

Mrs Harris in Sydney to the Max

The beloved poetry teacher at Clara Barton Middle School is laser-focused when it comes to getting efficient results from her students, which makes Mrs. Harris an ESTJ type on the MBTI® scale.

Mrs. Harris is all work, no play when it comes to her poetry lessons, as her vision for her assignments have high standards that she wants her students to follow. However, outside of the classroom, her soul is kind and easygoing. ESTJs are known for organizing their projects and the people around them to get things done, which Mrs. Harris honors with pride.
