Thanks to recent twists such as "Choose Your Champion," Survivor 43 has delivered a strong group of six final players, three of whom will make it to the final tribal council in the season finale episode. Regardless of who players think should win the season, there's no denying that the people who make it to the final council this season earned their place.

While Survivor 43 is shaping up to give viewers a lively final three, fans have been less than pleased with previous final tribal councils. Most people can agree on a clear-cut winner, but there are runners-up whom Redditors believe constitute some of the worst players in the game, whether because of their attitude or inept gameplay.

Dreamz Herd - Fiji

Dreamz Herd talks to the camera

Redditor aidanr24 writes that "Dreamz is an underratedly awful player, f---ing over almost every member of the jury in some way and pissing off the rest with the YauMan truck deal." Given how poorly "villains" do in Survivor, it makes sense that he failed to receive votes at final tribal.

The only reason Dreamz made it to the final three was due to his proficiency in challenges. He won 12 in total, yet his propensity to blindside allies without convincing others to get on board with his plans negated those wins.

Lillian "Lill" Morris - Pearl Islands

Lillian Morris smiles for a Survivor profile

Redditor Negative-Company2767 argued that Lill Morris is the worst Survivor contestant to make the top three "because she fundamentally lost the game in the pre-merge and didn’t even win at the end." She was voted out on day 9 due to her perceived weakness in challenges, making it back into the game only thanks to Pearl Islands' gimmick, the "Outcasts" twists.

While Lillian made a bit of a comeback after her return to the game due to helping take out members of her former tribe, she never asserted herself as a key strategist. Because of this and what several jury members deemed her conflicting moral code that she only received one vote at the final tribal.

Troyzan Robertson - Game Changers

It's very rare that a player makes it to the final three only to sabotage themselves by articulating their realization that they aren't going to win. Such is the case with Troyzan, who according to traddy91, "straight up was like 'okay fine I'm not winning guys' and the jury gave him a pity clap."

The ironic thing about Troyzan's inability to win the jury over in Game Changers was the fact that Troyzan had proven himself as a capable player during One World, despite only making it to the final eight. His failed attempts to put a target on Kim Spradlin's back that season may have affected his strategy for Game Changers, which saw the fierce contestant take on a more passive role that got him zero votes at the end.

Russell Hantz - Samoa, Heroes vs. Villains

Russell Hantz is one of Survivor's most iconic villains. The television personality made it to the final three in both Survivor: Samoa and Heroes vs. Villains, though "Goat’d himself despite believing he was the best player to ever play" due to receiving only 2 out 18 votes according to TimTumTim24.

While Russell is clearly one of the greatest strategists to have ever played Survivor, it's understandable as to why Redditors despise him. His game was centered around torturing everyone around him through actions such as burning peoples' socks and dumping canteen water, decisions which may have allowed him to manipulate others, but which also led to his inability to elicit sympathy from the Jury when he made it the final three.

Clay Jordan - Thailand

Survivor: Thailand isn't the best season of the show. It may have boasted a striking Survivor location, but the players were less than stellar, with RestaurantSlight602 citing Clay's ability to make the top three possible only "because he didn't have a lot of competition."

Clay Jordan didn't play the best game in Survivor: Thailand. He was never a key strategist, nor was he a powerhouse in challenges (despite winning a respectable seven). Instead, he was an adequate contestant who Brian Heidik took to the final two because he knew that he could beat him, thus making Clay Survivor's first goat.

Romeo Escobar - Survivor 42

Viewers feel that the recent seasons of Survivor haven't been the best, with many unable to connect with the contestants. Such is the case for give_me_two_beers who felt that "Romeo added so little to the game and really didn’t do much by what we saw" in Survivor 42.

While Romeo had some sway early in the game, his voting power was lost after the merge, and he became known for his laziness around the camp. The only role he played was for other players to suggest him as a target in order to blindside someone (such as when Maryanne took out Omar).

Laurel Johnson - Ghost Island

Laurel Johnson looks askance at something off-screen in Survivor: Ghost Island

Among the many players listed as the worst to make the final three, Nicklesinbooty cited "Laurel from GI." She started out on the Naviti tribe before forming an alliance with Domenick and Wendell after the first tribe switch, a move which proved lucrative for Laurel as all three made it to the end.

While Laurel clearly showed savvy in picking her alliances, she wasn't an adventurous player. She was the one person in her alliance who never called the shots, instead choosing to do as Domenick and Wendell said. The ultimate irony in all this was the fact that Laurel had to choose which of the two men won the game in an ironic twist after the final jury vote resulted in a tie.

Noura Salman - Island of the Idols

When arguing for the worst players to make the final three, mjgoldberg suggest Noura because "She was just legitimately insane." While the claim over-exaggerates Noura's behavior on the show, it does point to the fact that she was one of the most unpredictable and unintentionally hilarious players in Survivor.

Noura's erratic behavior may have made her an entertaining presence for some television audiences, but the people she played against found her annoying. This may have been a tactical choice on Noura's part, but at the final tribal, she failed to convince the jury that her unpredictability was all a part of her winning strategy. They viewed her as overly emotional.

Will Sims II - Worlds Apart

Some players fail to receive votes during the final tribal council because they don't show initiative during the game, and then there are contestants like Will Sims II from Worlds Apart. Will's unpopularity can best be summed up by Eniotnacram95's observation that Will "always screwed over allies to go with an already established majority."

Beyond Will's inconsistent loyalties and inability to choose who would be voted out, he proved unpopular with viewers thanks to his bullying of Shirin. The two's grudge was so vitriolic that the latter tore Will to shreds and compared him to a dead fish during the final tribal council.

Natalie Tenerelli - Redemption Island

From Survivor: Redemption Island, Natalie Tenerelli was a part of the Stealth R Us alliance with Phillip and Boston Rob which went to the top three. While this success would suggest that Natalie was an expert at the game, Sabaschin noted unlike other contestants who made it to final tribal, Natalie didn't do anything "pivotal during the game."

Natalie may have been a capable player during challenges, but she was ultimately perceived by the jury as too loyal to Boston Rob. She never displayed any independence from her Stealth R Us ally, and her lack of strategizing to take out players is the reason why more than 300 Redditors have deemed Natalie to be the worst player to make it to the final three.
