As one of the most anticipated seasons of Survivor is about to begin, fans are looking at the lineup and sizing up the players. This time, however, its a cast of players fans have seen before - so everyone is betting on their favorites.
The first season of Survivor in history to feature an entire cast of players who have already won. To say fans are excited about this is an understatement. But with this being season 40 there are a lot of seasons to remember for those who have watched all 39 previous seasons.
For those who came to Survivor sometime after its start or for younger fans, the early season may have players they are less familiar with. So whether in need of a reminder to jog your memory or a quick introduction to players you're not familiar with, here are the women of Survivor Winners at War.
Amber Mariano
(2) Survivor: The Australian Outback, (8) Survivor: All-Stars
While during season 2, Amber (then Brkich), may have been overshadowed by some of the larger personalities, she made enough of an impression before getting voted out 6th from the end to be invited back for All-Stars. There is where people usually remember her as that season is where she met her future husband "Boston" Rob Mariano and the season where she got her win. The duo, who has since done The Amazing Race together twice, will be back together yet again as a well-oiled machine and it will be interesting to see what her strategy is.
Sandra Diaz-Twine
(7) Survivor: Pearl Islands, (20) Survivor Heroes vs Villains, (34) Survivor: Game Changers, (39) Survivor: Island of the Idols
Fan Favorite Sandra is in a unique position as a 2-time winner. Winning on her first two seasons she is surely going to be back determined to make fans forget that last loss. Sandra is one of the players that fans are most familiar with and excited to see her return. A strong personality with the ability to manipulate the game behind the scenes, there is no way to miss her.
Danni Boatwright
(11) Survivor: Guatemala
Danni's winning season, which happened to be the first season to introduce hidden immunity idols, is her only Survivor appearance. In her season, the former model made great alliances and social connections that helped her overcome an often losing hand and did a good job at managing the jury. However, coming back after a 29 season hiatus it's hard to know what to expect.
Parvati Shallow
(13) Survivor: Cook Islands, (16) Survivor: Micronesia- Fans vs Favorites, (20) Survivor: Heroes vs Villains
After winning Survivor: Micronesia, Parvati returned for Heroes vs Villians - as a villain of course. She made it all the way to the end. She is known for big moves and taking no prisoners. She is a ruthless player but manages to maintain enough respect, unlike some villains of the game, to still win jury votes and still be a fan favorite.
Sophie Clarke
(23) Survivor: South Pacific
In a season with 2 strong returning players, Sophie aligned with the right people and more importantly won the final immunity challenge. This time Sophie isn't a rookie but there are a lot more than 2 experienced players and she hasn't been back since her first season 9 years ago. This leaves her a bit unpredictable in this season's line up.
Kim Spradlin-Wolfe
(24) Survivor: One World
Kim's likeability extended to both cast and fans. She managed to pull off a rare feat by winning not only the game but the fan-voted prize as well. Having come from a season divided by gender her ability to unite the women will be useful and may come into play again.
Denise Stapley
(25) Survivor: Philippines
Most notable about Denise is that she is the oldest female winner was the only person to date to have attended and survived every Tribal Council. In other words, she's tough and one to watch.
Sarah Lacina
(28) Survivor: Cagayan, (34) Survivor: Game Changers
Sarah a police officer, quickly sniffed out fellow officer Tony her first season but was unable to secure a win. However, when she came back for Survivor: Game Changers she managed to play a great physical game while also getting to the end with enough social connections this time to beat former NFL player Brad Culpepper who had been in control much of the game.
Natalie Anderson
(29) Survivor: San Juan del Sur
Natalie started the game with her identical twin sister Nadiya but they had very different endings. While Nadiya was the first person voted off her sister when on to earn the title of Sole Survivor.
Michele Fitzgerald
(32) Survivor: Kaôh Rōng
The most recent winner among the returning women Michele proved to be more than just the Beauty tribe she was assigned to. In the end, her social game left her with fewer enemies and made her $1,000,000 richer.
Survivor: Winners at War airs Wednesday, February 12th at 8pm EST on CBS.
