Since its release, Squid Game has taken the world by storm. It's hard to say what made the show such a phenomenon, but its ruthless, no-holds-barred story certainly helped. People love shows that force their viewers to ask, "What would I do in that situation?," and Squid Game does that constantly.

The game, like Survivor, takes a lot to win. It requires a certain amount of selfishness and ruthlessness, but it also requires the building of trusting alliances. Some Survivor winners would likely do exceptionally well in the Squid Games, whereas others would flounder.

Win: Tony Vlachos

Tony Vlachos is arguably the greatest Survivor winner of all time. His gameplay is the perfect mixture of selfishness, ruthlessness, friendliness, and complexity. He would be amazing in the Squid Games. Not only is he a strategic mastermind, but he makes good alliances and proves a dominating physical threat.

He has won nearly 20 challenges throughout his Survivor run, both in a team and on his own. He would work well with others until he needed to cut them, and he would do so with effortless ease.

Lose: Tina Wesson

The Australian Outback is a good season, but Tina Wesson makes for a rather forgettable winner. Whereas Colby Donaldson would thrive in the Squid Games, Tina would flounder. She's of a rather small stature, and she's not a physical threat.

In fact, she hasn't won a single individual immunity challenge throughout her three seasons on the show. She might go far as a caring motherly figure, but she'd be cut when her uses run out. Probably sometime around the marbles game (if she didn't already lose in Tug of War).

Win: Tom Westman

Tom Westman of Palau would be an easy Squid Game winner. He's a very friendly and affable man, so he'd do well as the leader of a large alliance (just as he did in Palau). He's also a great leader, and like all great leaders, he is able to make some difficult decisions.

But best of all, Tom is a dominating physical threat. He famously won five individual immunity challenges on Palau, making him one of the most prolific immunity challenge winners. There's simply no beating this man.

Lose: Amber Brkich

Amber Brkich is the infamous winner of All-Stars, and to this day, her win remains largely controversial. Many think that Amber was carried to the end by her future husband and that she only won the game owing to a bitter jury.

However, there are no juries in the Squid Games, and Amber would be left to her own devices. She's not a physical threat (winning just one individual immunity), and while her friendliness may get her far, it certainly wouldn't guarantee her the win.

Win: Kim Spradlin-Wolfe

Survivor Winners at War Kim

While One World is one of the worst seasons in the history of the show, Kim Spradlin-Wolfe is one of the greatest winners. Kim is a social mastermind, and she was deftly able to balance multiple alliances while orchestrating various blindsides. Her strong social game would take her far in the Squid Games.

But again, Kim is a major physical threat, having won four of the last five individual immunity challenges. This rich combination of social manipulation and physical dominance would make her an easy victor of the Squid Games.

Lose: Bob Crowley

A close-up of Bob Crowley from Survivor, looking serious.

Bob is a decent Survivor competitor, having won three individual immunity challenges (not to mention the season of Gabon). But Gabon is widely considered to be the messiest season of Survivor, and Bob's talents as a player would be questioned and tested on any other season of the show.

Unfortunately, Bob is likely too old for the Squid Games - at the time of his win, Bob was 57. He might go far, but sooner or later, his age would likely come into play and he would be eliminated by a younger contestant.

Win: Sandra Diaz-Twine

Survivor Sandra Diaz-Twine

Sandra is not a physical threat. In fact, she barely competes in challenges, and when she does, she performs poorly. Not once has she won an individual immunity challenge, despite appearing in over a dozen. But there are other ways to win Survivor, and Sandra took full advantage of them.

Furthermore, there are also many ways to win the Squid Games, and these unconventional methods (like licking the honeycomb or studying the glass) are displayed throughout the series. Sandra might not play hard, but she would play smart. And it might just result in a win.

Lose: Natalie White

Natalie White is a great social player, as evident by her near-unanimous 7-2-0 win over Russell Hantz and Mick Trimming. However, Natalie's downfall is her lack of physical prowess. Natalie only won three challenges throughout Samoa, trying her with Chris Underwood for the least amount of challenge wins for an eventual winner.

Unfortunately, the Squid Games are largely physical, and Natalie likely would not perform well. Especially not if the game itself was against a large and imposing physical threat.

Win: Parvati Shallow

Parvati Shallow from Survivor

Parvati Shallow changed the way Survivor was played, and she is still regarded as one of the game's finest players. Parvati is an extremely well-rounded player, being a master strategist, strong social player, and physical threat.

Shallow has won 32 challenges throughout her Survivor career, including four individual immunity challenges. She would be a masterful Squid Game player, combining her social, physical, and strategic capabilities into an easy win over her less-talented competitors.

Lose: John Cochran

John Cochran with a beard on Survivor

John Cochran may be a Survivor winner, but it's very likely that he would fail at the Squid Games. Cochran played an impeccable strategic game throughout Caramoan, so it's likely that his strong social skills would take him far in the Squid Games.

However, Cochran is not a physical threat (despite his numerous challenge wins). He is small, thin, and relatively unathletic, so it's likely that he would be pounced by larger, stronger players - especially in the climactic Squid Game (should he even make it that far).
