The 43rd season of Survivor it well underway, and players strong, with the castaways wasting no time in engaging in sneaky gameplay. For instance, Cody on Day 1 made a major play by introducing a campaign against salespeople — despite being a salesman himself. While it's certainly an underhanded play, it can pay off big time.

There have been many moves just like it throughout Survivor history. After all, there are players who are known for tricking competitors with under-the-radar games that eventually explode into winning performances. Many of Survivor's sneakiest players of all time have taken advantage of the strategy and used it brilliantly.

Cirie FieldsCirie Fields in Survivor

There's something to be said for coming on Survivor, despite being afraid of leaves, and proving to be one of the best Survivor contestants ever. With incredibly poor challenge performances that left castaways applauding her for just getting across a narrow beam, Cirie didn't look like she could make it far.

Yet Cirie proved to be a sneaky player who could manipulate an entire tribe with ease. After all, in Panama, Cirie was the clear first boot with Tina Scheer ready to send her packing. Yet Cirie convinced her entire tribe to boot the only member of camp who was contributing to the shelter, and it proved just how sneaky a survivor she was.

Kelley Wentworth

Sneaky enough to grab an idol clue during a challenge and hide it without any other competitors noticing, Wentworth has certainly proved herself as a sneaky castaway. She even occasionally described herself that way, and she wasn't wrong at all.

Often viewed as a potential winner for Cambodia, Wentworth came incredibly close to a victory, despite having several players gunning for her from the start. After executing an iconic blindside against Andrew Savage, she really showed that she had major potential.

Vecepia Towery

There's nothing sneakier than taking advantage of the game's rules to net an unexpected benefit from production. After all, the Marquesas winner convinced production to let her bring a journal to the island as a luxury item, then used it to net a huge advantage.

Knowing that the Fallen Comrades challenge was coming, Vecepia wrote down every detail that her fellow castaways shared during their time on the island. Those details eventually helped her answer every question about the previous boots, which impressed the jury, won her the challenge, and eventually won the game for her. It was incredibly sneaky and strategically brilliant.

Omar Zaheer

No one plays the middle better than Omar Zaheer, who proved to be everyone's friend in Survivor 42. Secretly gathering information from every player in the game, and seemingly the best friend of everyone, Omar was a beloved player, despite being viewed as a limited threat.

Unfortunately for the unlucky Survivor player, Omar found his game blown up when Drea warned the tribe about him after her elimination. It caused uproar in the Survivor community, as some viewers argued that no one should be allowed to spread information like that after elimination. Still, it proved just how sneaky Omar was that it took so long for the tribe to realize.

Sandra Diaz-Twine

One of the best under-the-radar players, Sandra lived by the philosophy of eliminating anyone but her. As the first two-time winner, Sandra always managed to redirect players to anyone who was even a slightly larger threat than her. Each time, it managed to bring her closer to the end.

It was only after two victories that Survivor players finally wizened up and realized that Sandra was a skilled player in her own right. Though she lacked any challenge ability, which helped her under-the-radar game, she was a dangerous competitor who could easily knock out players.

Ricard Foyé

While originally not viewed as much of a threat, Ricard proved to be an exceptionally sneaky player who could maneuver his way through the game with ease. After all, he and Shan easily picked off every other member of the Ua tribe with the combined power of Ricard's strategies and Shan's social plays.

Though an incredibly intelligent Survivor player, Ricard was initially viewed as more of a challenge threat than anything else, while Shan was seen as the strategic player. Yet Ricard played his tribe brilliantly and even managed to remove Shan at the only chance he had, proving his strength as a player. From there, his challenge abilities and tactical skills continued to drive his game.

Chris Daugherty

There's nothing more impressive than a player managing to overcome a situation where the odds are completely stacked against them. In Vanuatu, that was exactly what Chris had to do. After all, he was the lone male player left in the game and pitted against an all-women alliance. In the end, he somehow came out on top.

In one of the best post-merges in Survivor, Chris was sneaky enough to completely undersell his threat level until it was far too late for the other players to overcome. Having pitted an alliance against itself, he slowly picked off every one of them, until he had a million-dollar check and the title of Sole Survivor.

Tina Wesson

The first-ever woman to actually win Survivor, Tina Wesson managed to keep herself in the game despite all odds as an older woman, who are typically picked off first. Taking advantage of the perception that she was a sweet mom, she played a cutthroat strategic game that took her fellow players by surprise.

Then, with her excellent social game, Tina managed to soften the blows that most other cutthroat players would suffer. With those elements, she put together an incredibly sneaky game that blinded the other castaways until it was far too late to stop her.

Dawn Meehan

There comes a time in Survivor: Caramoan where every fan shrieks at the players to stop talking to Dawn already. After all, the entire season consists of player after player going up to Dawn, confessing their plans, and then being blindsided when she reported back to Cochran.

Much like Tina, Dawn used her status as a mom to soften every player's perspective of her, until they were already on the way to Ponderosa. While it caused an incredibly bitter Survivor jury, it proved just how sneaky Dawn's gameplay was that she was so trusted, despite being so willing to backstab the others.

Erika Casupanan

The winner of Survivor 41, Erika played an incredible under-the-radar game that benefited greatly from a fierce alliance with an often-invisible player in Heather. After starting out the game as a quiet lamb, Erika planned to evolve into a fierce lion who would go on to dominate the game.

With a great Final Tribal Council performance that proved just how much of a threat she was, Erika overcame every challenge in her way and pointed out every brilliant play she made. Having avoided being targeted through most of the game, she came out on top as the sneakiest player and as a winner.
