Survivor 41's Evvie Jagoda reveals that there were some moments on the show they really wish fans could have seen. Evvie also reveals what may have been their downfall in the competition. Evvie was one of this season's fiercest competitors and a favorite among many fans. Strong alliances were made, and some believed Evvie really had what it takes to make it to the end. However, in the classic spirit of the competition, Evvie was recently voted off the show after a divide in the Yase tribe could not be resolved.

At 28 years old, Evvie was one of the younger contestants on this season and is a Ph.D. student from New York. Evvie is also the first non-binary contestant in Survivor history and uses she/they pronouns. Evvie believed they had the necessary skills to perform well in the competition because of their history in uncomfortable and sometimes challenging moments as a result of coming out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community. In addition to that, Evvie had a great deal of charisma and seemed to have the smarts to outlast their competitors but ultimately was eliminated.

Evvie reveals to Entertainment Weekly that the events leading up to their elimination were only somewhat unexpected despite having seemed more confident on-screen. They explain that they did not want to be overly negative at the risk of making Deshawn and Danny wary about their plan to have Liana voted off the show. Evvie felt that they had a strong bond with Deshawn, though they were less certain about Danny. Evvie shares that off-screen, Deshawn claimed to want to work with Evvie to "do some damage together," but in hindsight says that they believe that Danny, Deshawn, and Xander "were just playing antithetical games" with them.

Evvie says they were also surprised by the Yase tribe's having broken apart following Tiffany's choice to hold onto an idol that was shared with her. Evvie feels that Xander abandoned Yase, but understands that he most likely did so out of wariness about alliances at that point in the game. Evvie believes that with Xander and Tiffany they would have made a strong trio, and the split spelled trouble for Evvie from then on out. Alliance complications aside, Evvie says there were "moments of human kindness and things that are not necessarily the best TV moments, but just really mean a lot," this season. They recall a moment in which Tiffany expressed her support for Evvie with enthusiasm, despite knowing that Evvie's advantage could lead to her elimination. "That's just amazing in a million-dollar game," says Evvie.

Evvie gave it their all and played a great game with a lot of enthusiasm and a great deal of heart, but questions of loyalty were bound to occur at one point or another. It takes a great deal of strength, bravery, and charisma to make it as far as they did in the competition. While some believed that Evvie had a great chance of winning based on the way their footage seemed to be edited for the show, they were unable to stay on Survivor 41. While Evvie's elimination may not have been a planned twist like many other game elements this season, it certainly was a surprise to those who have been rooting for Evvie since day one.
