The early half of Survivor is certainly difficult. Newcomers need to acquaint themselves with their new island roommates, they need to make careful decisions about who to ally with, and the challenges prove absolutely torturous on people who aren't used to living on rice and coconut water.

But the second half is when the game really amps up. Alliances are shattered, betrayals are made, flip-flopping constantly occurs, and a ridiculous amount of strategizing is necessary to make it to Final Tribal Council. And, of course, there are the individual immunity challenges that prove even more important than the tribe ones. And these people absolutely dominated.

Terry Deitz - 5

Terry Dietz in Survivor

Terry Deitz is an incredible competitor and arguably the greatest player of Panama (even though he didn't win). Deitz faced some horrible luck at the merge, as he was on the wrong side of the numbers. His allies were systemically picked off by Casaya, and it was only a matter of time before Deitz went as well. However, he proved an unbelievable challenge threat, winning five straight individual immunity challenges. It forced Casaya to turn on each other, and it allowed Deitz to effortlessly sail to the final three.

Tom Westman - 5

Tom Westman can sit proudly beside Terry Deitz, as his dominating performance in Palau is also considered one of the greatest in Survivor history. Like Deitz, Westman went on an absolute tear and won five individual immunity challenges throughout the second half of Palau. He proved an incredible competitor and survivalist in the first half of the game, so it proved unsurprising when he took home five immunity challenge wins - including the important final three. He's easily one of the greatest competitors the show has ever seen.

Kim Spradlin - 5

Kim Spradlin's performance in One World, like Deitz's and Westman's, is often considered one of the best in Survivor history. She won four of the last five individual immunity challenges on One World, and when combined with her strong social game, it allowing her to barrel over the competition in a 7-2 vote. Spradlin later returned for Winners at War, where she received one more individual challenge win. Spradlin's cumulative five wins make her the most physically dominant female in Survivor history.

Mike Holloway - 5

Mike Holloway Survivor

Holloway became the fifth person in Survivor history to win five individual immunity challenges in a single season. The others are Colby Donaldson, Tom Westman, Terry Deitz, and Ozzy Lusth.

Holloway won the final three individual challenges and used a hidden immunity idol in episode 12, effectively placing himself in the Final Tribal Council. The jury appreciated his physical dominance and aggressive gameplay, awarding him the win in a 6-1-1 vote.

Brad Culpepper - 5

Culpepper has competed on both Blood vs. Water and Game Changers, with his latter performance proving far more dominant than the former. Despite placing fifteenth on Blood vs. Water, Culpepper was asked to return for Game Changers. It was like a whole new person. Culpepper won five individual immunity challenges, including the ever-important final four. It allowed Culpepper to take himself to the Final Tribal Council, but his attitude and lack of significant relationships resulted in his loss to Sarah Lacina.

Colby Donaldson - 5

Colby Donaldson

Colby Donaldson of The Australian Outback is considered the first dominating challenge threat. He won five straight individual immunity challenges, and his final win allowed him to choose who to take to the final two. Unfortunately, Donaldson made the wrong decision by taking Tina Wesson, who ended up beating Donaldson 4-3. Regardless, his place in Survivor history was firmly placed. Unfortunately, he failed to play as well in both All-Stars and Heroes vs. Villains, and he never won another individual immunity challenge. His declining physical performance led him to be called "Superman in a fat suit" by James Clement.

Spencer Bledsoe - 6

Spencer Bledsoe has appeared in two Survivor seasons - Cagayan and Cambodia. He won a respectable three individual immunity challenges in Cagayan and was taken to the final four by eventual winner Tony Vlachos, who worked with Bledsoe and betrayed numerous members of his own tribe.

He won a further three in Cambodia, taking his cumulative total to six. And while he performed well in Cambodia, he was perceived as arrogant by the jury, who ended up awarding winner Jeremy Collins a unanimous 10-0-0 vote.

Joe Anglim - 6

Anglim is a three-time Survivor player, appearing on Worlds Apart, Cambodia, and Edge of Extinction. Unfortunately, he has never placed higher than eighth. He won two straight individual immunity challenges on Worlds Apart, but he was seen as a threat by the Escameca Alliance and voted out after finally losing. He went on a tear in Cambodia and won four straight challenges, but he ultimately lost one after passing out. He was seen as a massive challenge threat and voted out. Unfortunately, his performance in Edge of Extinction wasn't nearly as good, and he was quickly eliminated after the merge - once again for being a physical threat.

Ozzy Lusth - 7

Ozzy Lusth

Ozzy Lusth has Joe Anglim beat, both in terms of immunity wins and Survivor appearances. Lusth is a Survivor veteran, appearing on Cook Islands, Micronesia, South Pacific, and Game Changers. His most dominant performance by far came in Cook Islands, where he won five individual immunities (including four straight) and came a close runner-up to Yul Kwon. He failed to win any in Micronesia and was blindsided by the iconic Black Widow Brigade. His strong physical performance returned for South Pacific, where he won a further two individual immunities. In fact, he twice earned his way back into the core game by winning his way off Redemption Island.

Boston Rob - 9

Rob Mariano's individual wins may prove controversial. He has appeared in an astounding six seasons, allowing him far more time than the others to accumulate wins. Regardless, there's no denying that Boston Rob is a fierce challenge threat and an incredible competitor. He has won a total of nine individual immunities over three of his six seasons - four on All-Stars, one on Heroes vs. Villains, and a further four on Redemption Island (which he would proceed to win). His four wins on two separate occasions is nothing short of spectacular.
