There's good news for Survivor fans who can't get enough of the brutal blindsides and intense strategy of the long-running reality competition show: Australian Survivor is now available to stream in the United States. In addition to keeping up with the twists and turns of Survivor 41, American fans are now able to dive into international Survivor seasons with unprecedented ease. Several seasons of Australian Survivor are now included on Paramount Plus, in addition to the 41 seasons of the American version.

Australian Survivor has aired six seasons on Network Ten in Australia, beginning in 2016, and has amassed a loyal fanbase since its debut. Unfortunately, for now, only the three most recent seasons of the show are available on Paramount Plus in the United States. Though more seasons could be added in the future, those available now include Australian Survivor: Champions vs. Contenders 2, Australian Survivor: All Stars, and Australian Survivor: Brains V Brawn. Though All Stars brings back many players from the first three seasons, Champions vs. Contenders 2 and Brains V Brawn are standalone seasons, save for one returning player from season 2 who appears on the former.

American fans looking for more Survivor should check out Australian Survivor now that it's easy to stream in America. Brains V Brawn is a great entry point for new viewers to become acquainted with the show and how it differs from its American counterpart. The first thing fans may notice about Australian Survivor is that the challenges are complex and riveting, combining innovative concepts with layers of physical and mental hurdles for the contestants to overcome. In addition, the Aussie version has a larger cast and a longer game than American Survivor. Because of this, there are more episodes, which tend to be longer than US Survivor episodes, giving fans much more insight into the players and the game. Viewers will be introduced to players like Luke Toki and David Genat, unique and entertaining characters who may draw comparisons to American Survivor figures like Tony Vlachos and Tyson Apostol. The host of Australian Survivor, Jonathan LaPaglia, also does an effective job in his position, so fans who are used to Jeff Probst as host will no doubt appreciate LaPaglia's contribution to the show.

The only drawback for American fans who might be interested in the Aussie version of Survivor is that it does contain many game-changing twists that could cause purists to balk. Unlike the twists in American Survivor, which mostly center around advantages, Australian Survivor frequently utilizes fake vote-outs and non-elimination twists. Often, the players are not privy to these twists beforehand, so they can sometimes feel disruptive to the game and unfair to the contestants who bear the brunt of their impact.

Ultimately, though, Australian Survivor is a great way for Survivor fans to consume more of the show. Viewers who binged American Survivor during the prolonged hiatus between seasons 40 and 41 may be struggling to adjust to the one-episode-a-week airing schedule. There's no better way to fill that week-long gap between Survivor episodes than by seeing what the international Survivor world has to offer.
