Few sitcoms manage to achieve the level of humor Superstore is so well-known and loved for. Having recently come to an end, the show's 6 seasons have a wealth of witty dialogue, snarky lines, and funny characters that always make the audience laugh out loud, no matter how many times they hear them.

Most of the scenes from the best episodes of Superstore, in fact, are prime material for memes. Even out of context, the humor stands on its own, likely to bring anyone to tears from laughter. Although the comedic aspects of the show made it popular, fans also loved how it accurately represented working in retail, all while keeping things fun.

Watching Superstore Is A Must

Like any die-hard fans of a good show, Superstore fans recommend the show to their friends, family, and anyone who'll listen. This meme by the official Twitter account for Superstore perfectly represents the way people hound their friends to watch a show they love.

The meme is based on a scene in season 5's "Testimonials," when Jonah (Ben Feldman) planned an engagement party for Sandra (Kaliko Kauahi) behind Dina's (Lauren Ash) back. When Dina caught him with a cake and he lied that it was his lunch, she gave him a fork and told him to eat it all in front of her.

So Relatable

Jonah's unfortunate incident with some bags of ice slipping from his hold and spilling on the floor in season 4, episode 17, "Quinceañera," made the perfect material for this meme. The difficulty of balancing every aspect of life is one many are familiar with, as well as feeling like it's all a slippery bag of ice that tears up and spills everything, everywhere.

Just like Jonah couldn't control or catch the ice blocks falling everywhere, sometimes keeping life, work, exercise, a healthy lifestyle and many other things can feel like juggling slippery blocks of ice, bound to fall.

Patriotic Glenn

Meme of Glenn from Superstore

If there was one person who didn't do things in half-measures, it was Glenn (Mark McKinney). He always went all out for big occasions, like this meme from Reddit user StackKong shows. Sometimes he took it a little too far and it ended in disaster and a good laugh for the audience.

This particular fun outfit in the meme was from a special episode celebrating the Olympics, before the season 2 premiere. The meme and the outfit both perfectly highlight Glenn's sometimes excessive patriotism, which he often fails to tone down.

"Workmates"

Having workmates who don't really work much (or at all) is a common thing in any work setup. Thanks to memes like this one, it can be something to laugh at. And who better to have featured on the meme than Dina—one person who complains about her workmates all the time.

While most of her co-workers mostly do the bare minimum to not get fired, Dina takes her job very seriously. She points out their laziness and terrible work ethic every chance she gets.

Killer Secrets

One big moment in the Superstore finale that many may have missed because it happened in the blink of an eye, like the many random shopper scenes the store features, was the reveal of the identity of the foot killer. In the scene, Elias puts a severed foot on a shelf, similar to the ones the employees kept finding in the store in random episodes of the series.

Addressing this surprising reveal and the disappearance of Tate the Pharmacist from Superstore, Lauren Ash posted a meme on her Instagram account congratulating him on his role in Mortal Kombat.

To Look Or Not To Look

Dina prided herself on being professional, which is why when everyone else was wearing costumes on Halloween in season 2, episode 6, "Halloween Theft," she was in her regular uniform. After she pointed out that Sandra was also in uniform and discovered Sandra was actually dressed as her for Halloween, she grudgingly grabbed a cop costume from the store and wore that.

The meme posted by Reddit user kaaaat22 perfectly sums up everyone's reaction to Dina's costume, which she looked so good in they couldn't help staring, but at the same time, it was weird to keep looking.

Framples

In episode 2 of the first season, "Magazine Profile," Glenn fumbled through an interview with a magazine about the store. While struggling to think of any big ideas he could talk about, he told the reporter that he'd thought of calling the free samples the store offered "framples."

While this didn't do much for Glenn's reputation in the eyes of the journalist, it did give fans something fun to laugh about as the meme made by Reddit user Indngtm shows.

Pandemic Kombat

The coronavirus pandemic had people comparing life as it is now with what it used to be. Memes were a central part of these comparisons, perfectly and humorously illustrating the state everyone was in then and now.

Reddit user devilsbard posted a meme featuring Tate (Josh Lawson), the in-store pharmacist from the earlier seasons of the show. His perfectly groomed appearance as he was in Superstore represents life before Covid while the ragged image from Mortal Kombat shows how different everyone is after a year of suffering through a pandemic.

Liar, Liar

Liar, liar meme

In the earlier seasons, Sandra entertained fans of the show with her many lies. She often told lies to feel included in the conversation and relevant and most of the time, the lies ended up spiraling out of control. For example, when she confirmed to her fellow Cloud 9 employees that she was dating their District Manager.

While rewatching Superstore, a Reddit user, readitinamagazine, posted a meme combining a quote from Survivor about making up good lies and Sandra, who was obsessed with lies.

Move In With Me

Jonah and Amy's love story began in the pilot episode where fans saw their instant chemistry even though she found him annoying at first. Throughout the series, fans rooted for them to be together in spite of all the odds against them, such as Amy (America Ferrera) being married and Jonah's other girlfriends.

Even when they weren't together, Jonah and Amy were quite close as friends, to the point that Jonah's girlfriends often felt insecure about it. This often led to Jonah overcompensating with an over-the-top gesture like asking said girlfriend to move in with him, as the meme by one Reddit user posted.
