Jensen Ackles isn't the only Supernatural cast member getting a Winchester Impala - Jared Padalecki is getting one too. For fifteen years, Supernatural has reigned as the WB/CW's most enduring performer. The series follows brothers Sam (Padalecki) and Dean (Ackles) as they take on the family business and become monster hunters. Over the course of Supernatural's long run, the two Winchesters have gone up against a whole host of creatures, with God Himself being their final enemy. After a delay caused by the coronavirus pandemic, Supernatural is primed to finally come to an end in November; the first of its remaining seven episodes premieres next month.

Just last week, Supernatural completed work on its series finale. Those associated with the show like creator Eric Kripke and Ackles commemorated the finale on social media. With Supernatural just about wrapped up for the stars, all that's left is for them to collect their mementos from set. Ackles earned both laughs and relieved sighs when he shared he'll be taking home Dean's "baby": His 1967 Chevrolet Impala. The Impala has essentially been like a third main character for Supernatural, and there's no better person than Ackles to get it. However, he won't be the only one.

On Michael Rosenbaum's podcast Inside of You, Padalecki revealed he'll also be the proud new owner of a Chevy Impala. "We both get a car," Padalecki insisted when Rosenbaum mentioned Ackles nabbing one. "It wasn't in either of our contracts, it was a gift from them." Padalecki later elaborated, saying the executives at Warner Bros. insisted on giving the two actors Impalas as a thanks for their hard work over the years.

Ackles previously said he got the Impala put in is contract, but Padalecki's comments say otherwise. Regardless of how it came about, it's very sweet to know that Supernatural's Impala is getting the home (or, homes) it deserves. Ackles and Padalecki have dedicated a large chunk of time to this series, and it's fitting that they're getting something as big as a car for their goodbye gifts. Now that Supernatural is at its end, both actors will move onto new television roles: Padalecki will star in the CW's Walker, Texas Ranger reboot, while Ackles will appear in The Boys season 3.

This week marked the fifteen-year anniversary of Supernatural's premiere, which only serves to make its impending finale more poignant. Had 2020 progressed as planned, Supernatural would've already been completed; instead, fans get a little more time with Sam and Dean before they take their final bows. Exactly where the Supernatural finale will leave them remains to be seen, but at least fans can rest assured that behind the scenes, the Impala's in good hands.
