Supernatural has introduced hilarious alternate versions of Sam and Dean Winchester, but could these spoiled rich hunters return further down the line? Currently in Supernatural's final season, God is on a rampage to erase the various parallel universes he once created - the "failed spin-offs" as he calls them. As God works through deleting the browser history of creation, this leaves an untold amount of alternate Sam and Deans to die while the original Winchester brothers continue to formulate their plan to stop Chuck in his divine tracks. But just like the originals, some versions of Sam and Dean won't go down without a fight, and one pair managed to cross over from their world into the main universe, surviving God's wrath.

In a fantastic, playful twist, these Winchester impostors are wildly different from the brothers Supernatural fans are used to. The new iterations of Sam and Dean were still raised by John Winchester, but rather than scraping out a living from credit card fraud and hustling pool on the road, alternate John had the entrepreneurial nous to cash in on his specific set of skills. John built a hunting empire; a huge corporation that comprised a network of paid hunters operating across the world with access to aircraft, trust funds and man buns. John also seems to have somehow evaded death in this reality.

Naturally, these privileged Winchesters came out far more pampered and precious compared to their original selves, but their desire to do good and fight monsters shines through nonetheless. While the alternate Winchesters are entirely played for laughs, it's a surprising twist that the posh pair actually stay in the real Sam and Dean's world. Even though they're instructed to go to Brazil and lay low, there is now a second set of Winchesters on Supernatural's board.

The most intriguing question is whether viewers will see the flannel-free Sam and Dean again in Supernatural season 15? Given that the duo were so comedic, it felt strange that the alternate Winchesters weren't written out by the end of the episode. Supernatural's finale looks set to be an epic, climactic showdown against God, and the good guys will need all the help they can get, from angels and demons to wayward sisters and fellow hunters. It would be odd if the real Winchesters didn't make use of their alternate selves in the final battle, rather than just keeping them in Brazil for a pre-apocalyptic vacation. Despite their aloofness, the Hunter Corp. Sam and Dean are clearly skilled hunters and could prove vital allies. Taking the idea even further, the duo could also play perfect decoys, allowing the original Winchesters to trick God and land a surprise attack.

Even if these new versions of Sam and Dean are unable to resist the lure of Brazilian beaches and the scantily-clad locals Dean promised them, the introduction of these characters was an undoubted highlight of Supernatural season 15 so far. Not only was the stark difference between the two sets of brothers a stroke of comedic brilliance, but fans were afforded a fun and fascinating insight into one potential life the Winchesters could've had, if only John had been a little more business-minded. Another possibility created by the arrival of these uptown hunters is the emergence of even more Winchester alternates arriving in the future. Surely these wealthy brothers can't be the only Winchesters capable of traversing parallel worlds, and other versions of Sam and Dean might soon make their way to the real world, making the upcoming fight against God even more interesting.
