Despite the show's divisive, largely unpopular series finale, the show has not been ruined by it and will get rewatched for years to come by its loyal fans, and they will always get excited for certain moments to pop up that they will have never forgotten.

Jensen Ackles & Jared Padalecki

Supernatural "French Mistake" Dean and Sam encounter actor Misha Collins in the alternate universe

When Supernatural goes meta, it results in some pretty incredible episodes like "The French Mistake," one of the most beloved episodes in all of the series.

The episode provides a slew of memorable moments throughout the whole episode, meeting Misha Collins, the boys being shocked that Sam is married to Genevieve Padalecki, the actress who plays Ruby, and perhaps the one fans are least likely to forget, the one in which Sam and Dean pretend to be Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki, and act painfully bad in the show Supernatural.

Deanmon

Supernatural - Dean wakes up as a demon after being killed by Metatron

While many are not huge fans of Metatron, when he killed Dean Winchester in the season 9 finale of the show, it resulted in an absolutely incredible scene between Crowley and Dean.

As Sam is distraught about losing his brother - again - Crowley has a conversation with the deceased Dean. He talks about the mark, its powers, and at the end, he tells Dean to open his eyes, to see what Crowley sees, and in one of the shows most iconic shots, Dean opens his eyes, as black as night, and Deanmon is born.

Dean Kills Azazel

Dean kills Azazel with the Colt in Supernatural

On a base level, the first two seasons of Supernatural were leading towards two major events, the opening of the gates of hell and the killing of Azazel as an act of vengeance for killing John's wife, the boy's mother Mary Winchester.

In one of the very best season finales of the show, both of these come to fruition, as in "All Hell Breaks Loose," the gates of hell are opened, and in an iconic moment, with the help of a dead John, Dean shoots the colt, hitting and killing yellow eyes once and for all.

"Night Moves"

Dean and Sam drive around in "Baby" talking about the case in Supernatural

"Baby" is one of the most unique episodes of Supernatural's fifteen-year run, showing a hunt, as well as a day in the life of the two brothers on the road from the point of view of one of the show's most crucial characters, the Impala.

The whole episode is memorable, being undoubtedly one of the very best, but arguably the one scene or sequence fans will remember most is when Sam sleeps with a woman in the Impala, and Dean plays Bob Seger's "Night Moves," as they drive, with the two brothers singing along, eating, and laughing together. A grounded few minutes of humanity.

A Family Dinner

Sam and Dean have dinner with their parents in the Bunker in supernatural

Speaking of moments of humanity, that is what special episode of Supernatural "Lebanon" provides the boys a chance at having -  just a slice of a life they never got to have.

For the 300th episode of the show, Jeffrey Dean Morgan returns as John Winchester through supernatural means, temporarily, and the boys got to have a normal dinner with their mother and father for the first time ever. It is a wonderful moment, and even though there are problems with John as a father, especially compared to the lies of Bobby, that all goes out the window for this episode.

Sam's First Death, & Dean's Last

Dean dies in front of Sam in the Supernatural series finale

Sam and Dean die a lot in Supernatural. An unnatural amount for two TV show protagonists. Many of their deaths are great and memorable, but two, in particular, are a bit more important than most others.

Sam's first death at the hands of Jake is shocking and gut-wrenching to watch. Dean's final death is largely unliked, but nevertheless emotional as it signifies the end of the series, as well as the brother's time together on Earth; it is a scene fans will forever cry at, be infuriated by, and will remember.

"Carry On Wayward Son" From "Fan Fiction"

The Supernatural musical cast sing their rendtiion of Carry On Wayward Son

Going back to Supernatural's talent with meta and special episodes, "Fan Fiction" is a lovely tribute to the show and the brothers' journey and has some very memorable moments.

Supernatural really would not be the same without "Carry On Wayward Son," a song performed by the cast of the musical, putting a spin on the Kansas classic and being quite an emotional listen and watch. Of course, another moment fans will never forget from the episode is Chuck's mysterious return, especially in hindsight.

Cas' Introduction

Misha Collins as Castiel and his wings on Supernatural

Castiel is the third main character of the show, and the other member of Team Free Will alongside Sam and Dean, being a truly beloved and incredible presence on the show for 11 seasons.

Two character debuts stand head and shoulders above the rest, both being unforgettable. The first is Deaths, who comes to Chicago riding a white steed, a truly unreal moment. Castiel's entrance to the show, though, has so much weight and impact to it, considering the role he would have on the show. Even in just that moment, though, it is tense, mysteriously, beautifully crafted, and wonderfully memorable.

"Swan Song" Climax

Sam takes Lucifer, Michael, & Adam and jumps in the pit to hell in Supernatural

Many believe that Supernatural should have ended with Erik Kripke's original five-season vision, with "Swan Song," which is quite simply the show's best-ever episode.

Nevertheless, the fact it was not the end does not take away from its quality or memorability of its moments. The entire Impala speech from Chuck is memorable, as is everything at the graveyard. Above all else is the moment where Sam takes control, when he is beating Dean but holds back, notices the details of the Impala, starts to remember their life together, and fights Lucifer, winning and jumping in the cage.

"Dean?" "Hey, Sammy."

Sam and Dean reunite in the Supernatural pilot

For fans, it is impossible to forget the very beginning of Supernatural. When a fresh-faced Sam and Dean began their journey that led them to heaven, hell, and everywhere in between.

The moment the two meet each other again as adults is the moment of the "Dean?" "Hey, Sammy," which has so much meaning in the show. In the finale, when Sam arrives in heaven with his brother, the two repeat these words to each other, and for all its issues, that moment in the finale is emotional and a callback to where the road (so far) began.
