Supernatural features two main characters: Dean Winchester (Jensen Ackles) and his younger brother, Sam (Jared Padalecki). Over the years we've come to know both quite well, from their triumphs to their flaws. Dean is definitely the more rough-edged, bloodthirsty brother whose agenda is simple: draw blood first, ask questions later. Though he relents some on this rule of his, it's still a basic part of Dean's logic. Speaking of, Dean's logic is both an important and comedic aspect of the show; from the whistle apparently rendering Dean a deity among high school kids to pie being the best dessert ever to be served. That said, here are 10 Dean Winchester logic memes that are just too hilarious for words.

Birthday Cake Or Birthday Pie?

If you know Dean, you know what his answer would be to this. Pie... always pie. Since birth, this has been Dean's dessert of choice. Any and all kinds of pie sit well with him. Unfortunately for him, he doesn't get pie as often as he would like. This is a running gag on the show: either someone forgets his pie, or something happens to it before it can get to Dean. Being a hunter isn't easy... especially if you can't even get a slice of pie in edgewise.

Keeps Doing Things That Are Against The Law... Somehow Never Gets Caught

With rotten luck in hunting, relationships and just about everything else, Dean and Sam have to have some luck somewhere. Though Dean's had a few run-ins with the law before, he always manages to slip by or otherwise escape.

Despite being on the FBI's "Most Wanted" List, Dean and Sam are never recognized and they're never caught for credit card fraud, property damage, grave desecration or even speeding. When it comes to the law, Dean always seems to come out of it scot-free.

We All Got That One Friend...

In true Dean logic, he makes law enforcement a joke. While many of us would have panic attacks at the thought of being arrested, Dean's busy giving the photographer behind his mugshot his best version of the "Blue Steel" and wondering who looks better--him or Nick Nolte. It's one of the things we love about Dean, but it's not the most logical portion of his personality. After all, he should fear law enforcement at least a little bit, considering jail or being rendered a fugitive definitely makes life harder.

When Dean Is About To Be Tortured...

We all know how protective Dean is of Sam. He'd do anything for him--and he has. Going to Hell for your brother definitely puts you on the "World's Best Sibling" list. It's no surprise how this meme illustrates the prospect of Dean getting tortured versus Sam getting tortured...

Dean would rather sacrifice himself than Sam any day. The villains are even aware of this fact. In Dean logic, if you want to get to Dean, the best way to do that is through Sam.

Dean Winchester's Number One Rule

This brings us to Dean's absolute number-one rule. If Sam's in any kind of mortal danger, it's not happening. In Dean logic, he can do all the dangerous things, risk his life, go to Hell, or all the above--but Sam isn't allowed. This often infuriates or frustrates Sam, who either goes behind his brother's back (and then needs Dean's help) or otherwise convinces Dean to allow Sam to accompany him on whatever suicidal mission he's about to embark on next. In Dean's mind, he's the older brother and it's his job to look out for Sam. That's one of the biggest aspects of his personality, and definitely a logic we can understand given the Winchester life story.

He Shot The Sheriff...

Yet, he didn't shoot the deputy, who was actually the demon the whole time. Dean's a talented hunter but he's not perfect. He makes mistakes and doesn't always see what's going on straightaway.

After all, he is human. This meme illustrates one of the funniest moments in which Dean's logic failed him (which is too bad, considering he had that great pun about shooting the sheriff in which he referenced the famous Eric Clapton song). Next time check the deputy, Dean.

YOLO... Unless You're Me

Dean doesn't live just once. He's technically lived a few different lifetimes. One way or another he always finds his way back to life from death. Other than getting away from the law, this seems to be the one other thing he does have some luck in. If Dean didn't get to do something---say, attend a Metallica concert or date the girl of his dreams--he doesn't have to worry about not getting around to that in one lifetime because he'll get around to it in the next. Don't we all wish that we had that opportunity to do things over again?

How To Get Out Of Any Conversation...

Just when you think Dean can't get out of a sticky situation, he does. One of his most famous examples among SPN audiences is the time he pulled down his pants, exclaiming "Pudding!" to a nurse who caught him and Sam in the morgue.

Instead of explaining, he resorts to unorthodox methods to avoid questions, rationalizing that "crazy works." Well, it worked in this particular circumstance. It may not always work, and you'd have to be brave with a hint of desperation to pull something along these lines with the audacity Dean had. We'll leave these radical techniques to the Winchesters--specifically, Dean.

Knows A Word That Makes All Demons Flinch... Literally Never Uses It

We learn from the Season 1 episode "Phantom Traveler" that uttering the word "Christo" in the presence of a possessed person will make the demon noticeably flinch. Therefore, the Winchesters can easily detect who the bad guys are with a simple word. The strange thing is, we never see them use it after that. Do they prefer the macho showdowns and endless searching for the bad guys instead of muttering "Christo" or have they forgotten this tactic? Dean, who's definitely had several run-ins with demons all over the place, should be tired of that by now--especially since he could just say "Christo" to find the villain, gank the demon and end the day early with a slice of pie.

The Whistle Makes Me Their God

Another popular Dean moment in Supernatural is in a Season 4 episode which finds Dean and Sam undercover at a former alma mater of theirs. Dean as a gym teacher and Sam as a janitor. Turns out the gym teacher gig is perfect for Dean, who falls into it easily. Of course, it's a disaster for the kids as Dean makes them play dodge ball. Dean would be a good instructor (at least until one of the kids end up in the infirmary) and he definitely loves the whistle. In Dean logic, it makes him a deity, but we're not quite buying it. Sorry, Dean.

Dean has plenty of "Dean logic" in Supernatural that keeps us entertained and that gives us inspiration for hilarious memes down the line. We're looking forward to more moments of "Dean logic" in the upcoming fifteenth and final season of SPN.
