The CW's cult fantasy drama Supernatural is all ready for its final curtain call. The series would have aired its final episode by now but for the global pandemic. However, the final few episodes are due to air from October 2020, and the show will finally bow out after a long 15-year run.

The Supernatural cast have become household names over the years but most of the cast had some significant credits to their name before they joined the horror fantasy that was to change their lives forever. Here are ten other roles in which the cast of Supernatural appeared before they became known worldwide for their current roles.

Felicia Day: Violet (Buffy The Vampire Slayer)

Felicia Day Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Charlie Bradbury was an instant fan-favorite when she appeared in season 7 as the feisty young tech genius working for the Richard Roman Enterprises that had been invaded by Leviathans. Charlie soon turned into a hunter herself and died a horrifying death in season 10, although she appeared briefly again when the writers brought her back in the Apocalypse world.

Actress Felicia Day had appeared in another fantasy drama Buffy The Vampire Slayer as Violet, a slayer in the making. She was the leader of the New York squad of the Slayer Organization despite being something of an introvert.

Genevieve Cortese-Padalecki: Kris Furillo (Wildfire)

Actor Jared Padalecki is said to have met his wife Genevieve on the sets of Supernatural. Genevieve played the demon Ruby who manipulated Sam into chugging demon blood in season 4, thus paving the way for the unleashing of the Devil.

Cortese-Padalecki also appeared as the protagonist in the drama series Wildfire where she played Kris Furillo, who gets released from a correctional facility to work in a family ranch. She develops a bond with a lovely horse called Wildfire whom she prepares for the races.

Jeffery Dean Morgan: Negan (The Walking Dead)

Negan Walking Dead

Jeffery Dean Morgan is a well-known name in the television industry. Morgan appeared in the earlier seasons of Supernatural in a recurring role as John Winchester, Sam and Dean's father and the hunter who had trained the brothers in the first place.

Morgan appeared in season 2 of the long-running medical drama Grey's Anatomy as the handsome Denny Duquette who fell in love with Izzie Stevens and then passed away tragically. However, his most notable role to date has been that of the antagonist Negan, a tyrant who led the Saviors in the post-apocalyptic zombie drama, The Walking Dead.

Jim Beaver: Detective Clarkson (Sister Act)

Beaver as Clarkson

Actor Jim Beaver delivered an adorable performance in his stint as the Winchesters' friend, philosopher, and guide, Bobby Singer who died shockingly in season 7. The Bobby of the Apocalypse world is still alive though and fans expect to see Beaver reprise the role of the beloved character one last time.

However, Jim Beaver has had quite an interesting career outside Supernatural appearing in minor roles a range of television dramas as well as movies. Beaver appeared as Detective Clarkson in actress Whoopi Goldberg's cult musical drama Sister Act.

Mark Sheppard: Romo Lampkin (Battlestar Galactica)

Mark Sheppard's snarky King of Hell became an instant hit with the fans and is missed even today. Crowley started out as one of the secondary antagonists on the show and went on to become an ally of the Winchester brothers in time, ultimately sacrificing himself to seal the Devil in another world.

Sheppard appeared in numerous recurring roles, in dramas such as White Collar, 24, CSI: NY, and The X-Files. However, one of his better-known roles includes that of the manipulative attorney Romo Lampkin in the cult sci-fi drama series Battlestar Galactica.

Mark Pellegrino: Paul Bennet (Dexter)

Mark Pellegrino's sassy Devil was yet another adorable villain on the CW drama. Lucifer appeared in recurring capacity for quite some time until Pellegrino reprised the role in a more permanent capacity as one of the chief antagonists on the series.

The actor has quite a long list of credits where he appeared mostly on television, in guest roles in The Mentalist, Grey's Anatomy, and Person of Interest. But fans of the popular crime drama Dexter would recognize him as Rita Bennet's first husband, Paul, an abusive, arrogant man who was murdered in prison but was one of the first people to suspect Dexter of leading a double life.

Alexander Calvert: Anarky (Arrow)

Lonine Machin Arrow

Young Alexander Calvert is the newest addition to the cast of Supernatural playing the Nephilim Jack. As the brothers gear up to face God in the final episodes, Jack is expected to play a major role in bringing down the ultimate nemesis.

Calvert appeared as Lonnie Machin, better known as Anarky for his violent, sociopathic tendencies in the DC superhero Arrowverse. Unlike his role in Supernatural where Jack's character goes from being ambivalent to good, Anarky is quite the villain.

Misha Collins: Tony (Girl, Interrupted)

Tony Girl, Interrupted

Everyone's favorite angel Castiel became an instant hit when his character was introduced with much fanfare in the 4th season of the fantasy drama. Castiel has since gone on to become a firm friend and ally of the Winchesters.

Collins also had several small roles before he hit the jackpot with the sexy angel. In Girl, Interrupted, the film that won Anjelina Jolie her only Academy Award to date, Collins had a bit role as Tony, a stoned guy who wanted to sleep with Winona Ryder's Susanna but was really a bit crazy himself.

Jared Padalecki: Dean Forester (Gilmore Girls)

Jared Padalecki might have become the brooding, intellectual younger Winchester for audiences worldwide, but before that, he was Dean Forester in the popular comedy-drama, Gilmore Girls.

The endearing Dean was the protagonist Rory Gilmore's first boyfriend and for many fans, he was always her best suitor, despite the two moving on to date others. Dean was a lead character on the series and Padalecki pulled it off with his boyish good looks and charm.

Jensen Ackles: Eric Brady (Days Of Our Lives)

Jensen Ackles as Eric Brady

Dean Winchester is the protective older brother who started out as the good son and gradually became his brother's keeper. Dean was the picture of the tough guy towards the beginning of the series, but in time the writers explored him in a more profound way; Dean feels things very deeply although he is often unable to express his feelings.

Ackles starred in lead roles the popular drama series Smallville and in the slasher film My Bloody Valentine 3D. But his role as Eric Brady in the popular soap opera Days Of Our Lives was possibly his most notable work before Supernatural. Days Of Our Lives is one of the longest-running soap operas in television history and Ackles played the younger version of the kind and gentle Brady, a role currently played by actor Greg Vaughan.
